I prefer to see wemby with less big stats like 20pts 5 blocks and 10 rebounds and win the match than having big stats numbers and lose the game... he will make his team better in the future, the bench and the other top 5 spurs must take now their responsabilities to be more clutch and more efficient in défense and at 3pts. Because when they play well, the spurs has a really strong team with cp3, sochan, vassel, castle, champagnie, barnes and johnson !

@@Juanjuke6342 I think that's more a Spurs problem than Wemby's though. I saw it last season, although the team wasn't aiming for the playoffs or even a winning record (which of course isn't good enough in the West) they were also developing bad habits that would get carried into the next (this) season. I think Mitch won't change that, Chris Paul is still a net positive but he's too old to be the difference maker he was. Pop has the power to change it but for his health I'd wish he gives the reins of the team to someone else and let them draw the Spurs' future.

the action to 8minutes 00 on your video; It's very smart of him because in fact for 2 minutes it was going from one camp to the other with a lot of running from the players (including Wemby) and when he received the ball in front of the line; I said to myself ; "oh no Victor don't try this 3-point shoot; you've just made several runs; you're out of breath; you lack lucidity; you won't put it in ! " and that's what he does; he fakes shooting to deceive his opponent; he goes into the paint to dunk and make it easier for himself to score 2 points!! that's a very high basketball IQ (at 20 years old) 👽

That was really a terrible game... First half was downright horrid, even the refs were completely off with many decisions overturned. The Nets were inexistant and a pretty bad Spurs team just strolled past them with minimal effort...

Except that thanks to Wemby aptituds to shoot 3 pts, he brings the defenders on him as soon as he has the ball and allows his teammates to have extra free space. Also, he just has to fake a 3pts shoot and he has an highway to the 2pts. I don't think that his 3pts are useless, it opens a world of possibilities that he wouldn't have if he didn't try them. On the long term that makes him a very dangerous player anywhere on the ground and is a blessing for his teammates especially with his pass quality.

@@onemansview i hear u but i strongly disagree. it has been very detrimental to the team and the win/loss since he joined proves it. id be ok with 5 taken per game on avg, he has taken 9. 70% are missing. that s 6 possessions per game where he could have scored an easy 2 inside, or collapse the D near the hoop and kick out to an open teammate, or get an off reb if spurs shot miss....this idea that it s ok to take 9 3s per game and get lost on the perimeter is good coz he s improving, will be lethal from everywhere etc is ludicrous when u see the ultimate results. pump fake from 3 would work even he was only taking 5 on avg, he does NOT need to take 15 like he s done in so many games, especially as he s no freaking curry....MJ warned us yrs ago, the 3 makes u lazy and makes u work less on the other fundamentals
