If you’re in the area and want to help advocate for electrifying the SB Line, the group Californians for Electric Rail have been working on advocacy for that recently.

The slow speeds of the trains entering the station (probably because of switches?) shows again that alot could be done to speed up travel times without the need to build completely new lines.

Always nice to see trains, and an interesting variety of them too. And glad Brightline West is going with Siemens.

Update on Brightline West!!!! Siemens Mobility has been chosen as the train manufacturer.

Nice video, great angles! Was wondering if you had done a video about the Capitol Corridor given it’s one of the busiest corridors outside the Northeast. Would be cool to see different combinations of costs of different buildouts, like a full HSR with a transbay tunnel to San Francisco, a fully upgraded line to maybe a 155 mph standard, and maybe a partially upgraded line given that the section between Martinez and Sacramento is basically completely straight farmland (maybe this could involve dual-mode trains), and maybe even a no-build/minimal change section to see what the new rolling stock is capable of. Keep it up!

I've had a request for it. It's on the list. I'll probably do it as a City Pair video, so a little more in-depth on the route, since its not very long.
