San Diego is good at changing the rules. You use to be able to put a cess pool on a regular lot in Julian. Plenty of properties have them. Then they changed the rules for vacant lots. Many people bought land then found out they couldn't build but they still hand to pay taxes and water stand bye at the cost of sixty dollars a year even though they couldn't use the water. The other home owners always have a tendency to oppose development in San Diego county. They want wide open spaces at someone else's expense. That is why the taxes on this property is so cheap. I suspect there are building restriction to the point you couldn't build on the property. I am wondering if you thoroughly checked it out before you bought and can guarantee you can build on it. I have been there done that. Good luck.

There are a lot of properties I skipped because of that in the area. A couple lots over form this a new mobile home went in about two weeks ago. Took them about a week to pull it off. I have the contractors info. Sold one of these lots to a builder who checked it all out. he is going for it. Only have the one left. Couple different people trying to go for it. They need to sell something first or get the financing more secured. It should be sold pretty soon.

If you go to Imperial County in Southern California they are probably less restrictions but very hot. San Diego for the most part has a cooler ocean breeze

Boy is that true. This property is over 3000 ft elevation. At the top there is a nice ocean breeze in the valleys here it gets pretty hot. This one has a good spot to build on up top with big views off to the west for sunsets, east for sunrises and north to see some other mountains. The other one is on the other side of the hill and you can see the Mexican border way off to the south. Its not too far from the Tecate crossing. Good restaurants there and free beer at the Tecate brewery. 1 a day if you stop by!

If the neighbors wanted to cut you off you would be landlocked. Also in San Diego County the are stict in keeping lot cleared. For a cesspool you need 300 feet of Leach line. If it doesn't Leach with that much line you can't build. Do your due diligence in strict rules and regulations in San Diego County.

There are patented easements to this land on multiple routes. The neighbors would be wrong to cut you off. You would win in court. I have all the paperwork on the easements. You can look them up too on the general land office website which is part of the BLM. Public posted president of the US signed off patented easements from the 50's when this land was first homesteaded.
