You will forever be missed my San Diego Super Chargers. You made me cheer when Dan Fouts through hail Mary's since I was two years old sitting on my father's lap. Stan Humphries and Natron Means made me cry with joy when they took our team to our first Super Bowl and I cried with them when we lost it. Junior Sea if Tony Gwyn is Mr. Padre, you are Mr. Charger. EaglesFan here. I have no connection or rivalry with the SD Chargers, but I just want to say that this is (was) EASILY the greatest team song in NFL history. I know other teams like have "fight songs" that are sung by the crowd after touchdowns, but they're very simplistic with team name chants at the end. This is a goddamn SONG. And it's a banger! Man, I hope the Los Angeles experiment fails and that the Chargers can move back to San Diego where they belong, so we can resurrect this song! (And hey, the L.A. Raiders experiment failed and they moved back to Oakland; so, it could happen again!)

The civic leaders and voters of San Diego lost their team by being cheap. In an ideal world, teams wouldn't move.But, the reality was the stadium arms race among NFL teams demanded that teams with old late 60s to early 80s stadiums had to get massive upgrades. San Diego always had the attitude that they were doing pro leagues a favor "letting" them play in "America's Finest City" without providing massive civic support. They found out the hard way that wasn't going to be the case.
