I went to this pier few times once I was setting up and I noticed a rope out in the water floating tied to nothing and the guy next to me says it been there all day people keep trying to get it I’m like watch this threw on a lure with three treble. Hooks and snagged it first cast it was a brand new crab trap the bigger one with three hoops 😂full of crab 😂

I think tides matter when it comes to catching crabs, like it does for fish. Incoming tide is the best

Any slack works best for me. But rock crabs are so abundant I wouldn’t stress that much on timing.

Where did you get your green crab net and the accompanying string? Also, I heard "Pro-Cure Crab and Shrimp Attractant Bait Oil" is really good for marinating the chicken the night before.

Big 5 has them for cheap. Thx for the tip! Unfortunately that day was slow so I didn’t get a lot. I’ll make sure to try that next time

You are not setting the snare right. You gotta tip it down at 90 degrees slowly reel in to tighten the line and jolt straight up up. That way your hoops close and you can catch a crab. Watch fisherman’s life’s “comprehensive guide to crab snaring”.

can not be fishing for crabs in the bay pass the g.g.b. only out pass g.g.b. inside the bay is .a sanctuary big ticket each crab go for 50.00 a crab.

Rock crab is ok. Just not dungeons and they raised all fines.

Definitely illegal catching crab inside the bay . You have to fish out side the GG Bridge. Id take this video down before someone rats u out

It is not illegal to catch rock crab in the bay. That is only for Dungeons crab.

Only Dungeness are illegal inside the bay. Well, not sure about Kelp crab. But Red and Rock are perfectly legal, so says the sign at the base of the pier. With size limit.
