Grew up in the city. That red building across the street from the cable car barn is the Chinese Rec Center. I played adult basketball and league games there. It's been highly renovated since then. It was cool seeing all the neighborhoods as you rode the cable car. I know each area like the back of my hand. I actually didn't know the California line cable cars were longer than the others. It makes sense why it doesn't go on the turntables now and only goes back and forth. Always fun to learn something new. As for the Leica cameras, I'd love to have one, but at the prices they're charging now they're really out of reach, so more power to the both of you. Thanks for the video.

It’s amazing to see how photography and the love of something can bring people together. We are consistently amazed with the people we get to photograph or the doors it opens just by being nice and photographing the world around us. My wife and I went to New Orleans and loved the street cars. We road them so much, just to photography tour. Great video again, Dave

This was great. I really liked the interior shots with the cars lined up, the light, the wood. We're all Southern Californians now, but my grandparents and others were in San Francisco for the earthquake and we've eventually worked our ways elsewhere, but the city is still in our blood.

I've lived in San Francisco from 1954 to 1984. As late as 1981, believe it or not, one could ride the cable cars for only 25 cents. If one was under 18, the fare was only 5 cents. The fares were the same for all (muni) municipal transportation, to include buses and streetcars, within the city at that time.
