San Francisco, CA - The National EMS Memorial Bike Ride, Inc. honors EMS personnel by organizing and implementing long-distance cycling events that memorialize and celebrate the lives of those who serve every day, those who have become sick or injured while performing their duties, and those who have died in the line of duty.
This year, the West Coast Chapter rode from Reno, Nevada, to San Francisco, carrying dog tags for fallen Emergency Medical Services professionals who lost their lives in the line of duty.
San Francisco Fire Fighter EMT Christopher Yock was among the many honored and remembered at this ceremony.
The team rode across the Golden Gate Bridge at 2:45 p.m. and concluded their 450-mile-long journey at San Francisco Fire Station #51 located at 218 Lincoln Blvd at Keyes Avenue, Presidio of SF.
A celebration and brief memorial commemorated the journey memorializing our fallen heroes.
