Riding San Francisco Muni Metro N Judah Westbound (train model: Siemens S200 SF - LRV4 Series) from Civic Center / U.N. Plaza in Downtown San Francisco to Ocean Beach (yes, San Francisco has a beach). This train journey starts at Civic Center / U.N. Plaza Station Bay Area Rapid Transit (BART) Platform. I transferred to the Muni Metro train platform located above the BART platform. I've boarded the SF Muni Metro N Judah (westbound) to Ocean Beach. This line terminates at the coast of San Francisco.
This line passes through several major destinations in west of San Francisco:
- University of California San Francisco (UCSF)
- Golden Gate Park
- Ocean Beach
- Buena Vista Park
The N Line (westbound) starts at Caltrain Station near Downtown San Francisco. Checkout the video train ride from Caltrain to Embarcadero Station: • San Francisco Muni Met...
Fare:
The cost to ride SF Muni Metro is $2.50. I have used my Clipper Fare Card to board the train.

What's up, man! Happy June and summer is around the corner! Looking forward to seeing you back in The Sunshine State. By the way, I'm riding the 95 Express (Route 106) from Miramar Regional Park to Culmer Station next week on Tuesday.

I always had to look to the right when getting off the N Judah streetcar in the Sunset / Outer Sunset. Many drivers don't know that California state law prohibits cars from passing stopped streetcars on the right. Cars would sometimes attempt to zoom by as people were getting off. This was about 7 years ago, and it looks like some but not all stops have been upgraded.

I think the only project was the inner sunset streetscapes project that added large bulbouts around the commercial districts. But they only covered the length of 1 car so the 2nd car releases in front of parked cars often.

@@anthonysnyder1152 I see thanks for the info. Those legacy streetcar lines could use full upgrades. I assume that's why the L is undergoing an overhaul. I remember most stops in the Sunset were marked only by yellow paint on a light post with the words "car stop" stenciled over the yellow in black.

I thought that all the stops on the N got at least concrete boarding islands a couple of years ago, no?

@@TohaBgood2 Many stops have concrete islands for a single car. SFMTA is supposed to start work on the Muni Fwd project for the N which should rearrange the stops and extend boarding islands. Similar to the recently approved projects for the J, M and K. Although there is a Core Capacity working group right now that is focused on solutions for the N. Of course they are going to ultimately end up upgrading to 3-car boarding islands, consolidating stops and adding either more dedicated raised transit lanes (as is between 9th-19th ave) or pursuing a tunnel. But given the economic climate I bet the tunnel option won’t happen.
