6:20, I can see That San Francisco isn't very conducive to the elderly & handicap. It would be difficult to adapt & get around. But then again I guess the older people who have been there all their lives live down low?

Honestly, I would say a lot depends on luck. However, I've heard that a lot of people were able to negotiate with landlords/property management for a COVID-discount too! There are definitely cheap apartments in SF, but choosing a cheap apartment would just be a tradeoff with other things you might have wanted like location and appliances.
