San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge: New Span

I can think of only one word to describe this video -- EXCELLENT!! I love it that both the old and new bridges were shown. The commentary was excellent, giving just enough information to supplement what was seen on the screen. I also like the smoothness of the camera movement. There was no jerkiness like what is found too often on other videos. I also like the absence of music -- the narrator's voice and the sound of the car going over the bridge gave the video an essence that would have been destroyed if loud clangy music had been added. A superior video, in every way.

Thank you for your video of the new span. I moved to Portland a few years ago and only heard that the Bay Bridge had a new span yesterday. I was having a difficult time envisioning the changes until I saw your video. I had watched six other videos and was confused. Thank you for clearing it all up for me!

You're Welcome Daniel. I know that even though I live in the area and traverse this bridge a lot, it was a bit confusing trying to visualize exactly HOW the whole thing was going to come together. I'm going to video very soon the dismantling of the old bridge as I drive across, and I'm trying to think of how I can do that safely since I AM driving and the camera needs to be aimed over to the left my shoulder!! I may tape it in place on my seat and then just reach over and punch the button...we'll see!! It is really surreal to me how the entire construction project is to look at. Very cool!
