Used to live here 20 years ago and I miss the area so much! There weren’t as many shops back then but I recall walking to Haight, the Safeway on Market and even Japantown from my house. Love how walkable SF is and you do such an amazing job showing that in your videos!!

Yeah, Hayes Valley has changed a lot in the last 20 years (in a good way)! I think the two neighborhoods that changed the most are Hayes valley and the mission.

Ok, SF native here. While I don't doubt the hotness of Hayes Valley, to not really mention at all the crime levels of the general area of Western Addition (which this is) is a disservice. If an out of towner asked me about this area, I would honestly say pass.

Interesting. In all seriousness it's not an area I've ever heard anyone say they felt unsafe in. I have several clients who live in the area with young kids and they love it.

Love love love hayes valley! Definitely would benefit from parking in this neighborhood but they have the best Trader Joes in the city!

The buildings in Hayes Valley are unfortunately not all modern :-) - a current resident
