Not sure when you did you tour SF but it has been facing significant economic challenges post-COVID. Homelessness has become a visible and pressing issue, with the city struggling to provide adequate resources and support. While SF still retains its charm with iconic landmarks and cultural experiences, it's undeniable that the city is grappling with major issues.

Fun fact, vermont street in sf is actually the most crooked street, but it has fewer turns than lombard st and is not as attractive. I hope you also got to visit other spots such as the golden gate park, fisherman's wharf, hawk hill, ferry building, and japantown. Sf japantown is the largest and oldest in the country.
