Some of the lines feel like they miss for some of those with mental illness. I really love San, and Bipolar Sunshine, I just can’t listen to this lyrics of this song without feeling... transparent. Alienated. It makes me feel ignored. And like only the surface level of what I’m going through is being seen. I know it’s not what’s meant by this song, nor by Sander. I really do know that. I just want to point out that songs like this sometimes need to be careful with word choice, lest they miss the mark. the lyrics that go like “If you feel like giving up / don’t give in” really optimises my point It’s like... it’s not that simple. I do like some of the lines in this song though, but hearing some of the others makes me want to curl into a ball instead of being motivated To end on a brighter note: I enjoyed the last song done with Bipolar Sunshine, brighter days. It really felt amazing to listen to. A gorgeous song. This isn’t meant as a criticism of San or Sunshine, more like... a message (a PSA?) of sorts?
