I think it looks great, reminds me a lot of my PRX. I'd prefer the quartz prx over this but for someone who is a mechanical movement only person this might be a win

In general, I like the design. But, I feel that as a sports watch, it should have some lume on the hands and dial (and I think the hands lean a little too far to the dressy side for the rest of the watch). To your bigger point, I would pick the quartz PRX over this every time.

I think it's a great looking watch, and they did it right by not having a dial that competed with the case shape and bracelet...it has a good fusion. I'll be watching to see if you decide to sell this one in the future, I'd much rather have my money going to you.

Great review! I like San Martin watches and this one is not bad. I am not a fan of butterfly clasps either, but they aren’t bad if they offer half links which this one doesn’t appear to do. Corgeut even offers half links come on San Martin.

Clever use of the Manfred mann lyrics. You are right . I wished they went with a better design on the bracelet. As an homage? Channelling Shell Silverstein: Almost perfect, but not quite. Excellent use of the Miyota 9015 movement.

Great photography and review as always 👍 . The watch looks good, but I wouldn't buy an integrated bracelet watch with butterfly clasp especially from AliExpress, there is too much chance that the fit would be terrible and no way to get around it.

I bought a different San Martin in November and did not like it. But I really lke the look of this one. The only issues I see with it are the mismatch between the cursive logo and the font underneath. They could have the font underneath match the cursive logo. And the hands are a little wierd. I am thinking stick hands with lume would be better.

It looks like this watch and the Asorock Transporter have the same watch head, right down to the hexagon crown. Perhaps both watches are coming from the same factory.

I love your channel, Shane. I really do. Our tastes are similar and our opinions, too. But, this is disappointing! This is a copy of D1 Milano. San Martin needs to be blasted for copying a small independent brand. It's one thing to copy Rolex or Omega, they can take it, but a small independent microbrand - that's another story. And this is a brute and unimaginative copying - a bezel from D1 Milano and a bracelet from Royal Oak and that's it. San Martin can do much better by concentrating on their own designs.

You know, at first I wasn't such a fan of it. But the more I look at it, the more it's really grown on me. You and I, have very similar wrist dimensions, so I believe it to be the right size for the look I hope to achieve. Best wishes......cheers

Our hobby is so subjective, so everyone has an opinion. So here’s mine 😁. I’m a San Martin fan. However, logo questions aside, I think San Martin typically does everything right except for 1 thing, and it changes from watch to watch. For this one, the dial should have been a colorful enamel dial. 3 options come to mind: 2 boring ones (black and blue), and the currently popular Tiffany blue. A glossy enamel dial in any of these colors would have provided excellent contrast without being jarring against all that silver of the bezel, case, and bracelet. Then again, if they had done this, it probably would have looked even more like an homage, which may have been what they were trying to avoid.

@@bboooobbyy Perhaps I should have simply said “glossy” dial, though I just bought an enamel dial for $40 from NamokiMods which looks great. In any case, I think even Pagani Design produces some beautiful colorful glossy dials that would look great here and give the watch a more visually interesting and appealing appearance.

I think the dial & handset are spot on & movement choice but enough of the genta/ intergrated business already ,this could've been such a nice offering had there been some ingenuity on the case & bracelet instead of throwing together a hotchpot of design elements from the obvious, making it a bit more classic in style with a nice tapering jubilee bracelet would've been a better angle ,as it is they've just overcomplicated it for the sake of " being original " & totally missed the mark , still a struggle outside of homages for SM.

Not a complete rip-off but the case design comes straight from the D1 Milano. Hour markers, hand set, & bracelet are not exact copies.

I don't know, it's a bit bland. More than it needed to be. What I mean by this is, its a silver watch with a silver dial with all the hands and indices being silver. A blue or green or grey dial would have been much more interesting. Besides I don't like the frills of the scripted logo, it's looks corny.

I kinda love the fact they're giving u a royal oak feel but with a twist to the design. I'd totally cop this but am staying away from aliexpress cus...well cus fck China, fck Russia but as soon as I can get to the states I'm copping this and the Panerai homage, I find it waaaay worth it given that if I ever have enough for a Panerai, I'll spend it on many other brands before them

Idk i just dislike this watch, looks very cheap to me with design language not being strictly defined but instead its all over the place for me. San martin also struggles with their branding a lot in my opinion, its just not branded well. They have a lot of potential but are trying a lot of things trying to make it work, featured San Martin in beginning looks much better than this one IMO. The Rodania that was mentioned in comments seems to execute this watch much better.

It's definetly for a select audience. For the Oak and Nautilus, I think the designers made them more in your face just because they cost a lot. Because if you are paying that much for a watch, I guess you want people to notice them.
