I must confess, I didn't comment on the video you published four days ago because I had seen it. I know some walking tours bring back old ones again and again. It could be a good idea for people who missed it. This video I missed it, you see. This is a small precious Italian town, kept very clean and it's beautiful. I like where the beautiful Church of Abbey of San Martino stands and has a lot of history. Thanks for video.

Dear Esther , so glad to always read from you and to know that, in a way, we've been knowing each other for quite a long time by now. Always glad to know you enjoy them .. and indeed, the church was truly something... I'm always happy to know there are other people who enjoy these "unknown" towns as I do

That didn't look like a Italian town! it had a personality all of its own, thank you for showing us!

The only thing that made me think of central europe is thé church (hungary austria...) for the rest it all seemed very italian to me

There was something unique in the Church, agreed... it truly seemed like a central europe style one, didn't think about it but yup.. Agreed. !

This is an interesting town, although not as beautiful it has character. I love seeing the niches for the statuettes with the flowers around. To me it seemed like a town that people pass going somewhere from somewhere (seemed lots of cars). Interesting vintage 1960 Miss Italia pink fiat. Thank you for sharing 🙂

Thank you so much Dear Geraldine, indeed... there's something different in San Martino compared to others. Interesting its history about the shape of the houses and the Lady who decided how the town should have been setup. Glad you enjoyed also this)

@@StillWanderer yes, when you think how organised the town was in those long ago days, it's amazing. I'm watching your Riomaggiore video right now and it's so different.
@StillWanderer3 жыл бұрын
@@geraldinehadiwidjaja7421 Indeed... I think I have another one video from Cinque Terre to upload Geraldine, Corniglia.. it was a cloudy day and, since the town doesn't have sea access, it was quite different as well from the other nearby towns. Maybe I'll be able to edit and upload it next week. I'm sure you'll enjoy this one too. Loved Liguria... I still believe I should film these towns during winter... in cold weather and with few tourists though... thinking if I can make it

I know most of Italy's towns are old, but this one seems REALLY old. I mean do other towns have churches from 800 A.D.?
@StillWanderer3 жыл бұрын
Indeed Buck, quite an old one, though there are many churches that old (or older!)... Still ... it could be also about manteineance of buildings for sure... the charm of a "decadent" town I should say
