Thanks for sharing this video. I was in that part of town 3 years after your visit. I recognised most of the buildings. Made me feel homesick. It is sad to see, the decay has progressed since then and nothing can stop it.

Linda la calle, pero si está en ruinas, sola ir a ver ruinas donde vive gente y que las calles no huelen nada bien, pero a lo mejor eso es lo que le atrae a usted lo destruido y ver cómo la gente sobrevive en el paraíso Socialista

The buildings are beautiful and they need preservation and restoration in San Rafael street and Central Havana, not just Old Havana. I blame the decay on the Castro Regime for not taking care of Cuba's heritage, not on the Embargo! Viva Cuba Libre!

All the hundreds or thousands of buildings around Centro Habana are in ruins a few of those still preserved a few others where fixed with tourism purpose, but most of the buildings are destroyed or in decay, remember had been more that 60 years, without a single maintenance or repair. It’s Socialism everyone is equal, but in poverty, we’ll not everyone at least 1% live ok and the 0.3% live like kings and queens
