It's been 49 years since this was release. I first was introduced to San Sebastian Strings around 1980. I am now 58 and this music still touches my heart in a way that no other music ever has, or ever will.

The last cut....The Anita Kerr singers.....I think it's only 4 people singing; they are that good. Anita Kerr was such a talent and pairing w/ Rod was a genius move, to record the Sea, Earth, Sky, trilogy.

I have the album the Sea. I recall that album stayed on Billboard top 200 albums chart for close to 2 years. But didn't know about this album. Sublimely beautiful. They don't make them like this any more.

I remember in my youth I was introduced to the music written and composed by Rod McKuen by my new girlfriend. She told me it was the best music to play during sex. Oh boy, was she so right.Oh, to be young again right fellas? Another great piece is the "Tender Earth" during love making. I have collected most of his vinyl albums and his books on poetry.
