Carol Banawa is called the Star Diva of the local music industry, a genuine multimedia star who has successfully crossed over from recording to television, stage, and movies to live performances. She remains to be the highest selling recordings star under Star Records roster of artists. Some of her hits include Langit na Bituin, Bakit Di Totohanin, Iingatan Ka, Stay (a collaboration with Jay Durias, a member of South Border band), Muntik Na Kitang Minahal and Ocean Deep (both revivals, the former is a Cliff Richard hit, and the latter is of the local group The Company).
