A small detail that not everyone will notice. In the last cutscene, her father stands in front of Mari, but in the reflection of the floor, his real appearance is reflected.

Picked this game up on a whim because i love cyberpunk aesthetic and I liked katana zero. Didn't think i'd be sobbing like a kid by the end. Thanks for posting the full cutscenes, I'll be honest I just like seeing Mari talk to her dad as a child.

To anyone who may be reading this and hasn't played: GO DO IT. This video, while good, doesn't show the entire game, and my GOD is the rest of it good. It is worth FAR MORE than the price it has. The gameplay is incredible, the story is one of the best I have EVER seen in ANY piece of media, the OST is immaculate, and it is just one of if not the most underrated games ever. If you like a game with a good story and good gameplay, then this is THE game for you. PLEASE play it, it NEEDS more recognition.

Just finished playing this a little while ago and I gotta say, the ending got me good. All the praise for the game's story was well-earned. Definitely got me a bit emotional, that finale. Sad that the General has to leave his daughter behind again to save both her and the city but...at least Mari finally gets the closure she's been needing for the past ten years and can start living her life. With the kinds of talents she has, I'm sure she can do a lot of good for people. A sentimental part of me wants to believe that maybe the General's brain data is still out there. Maybe transferred to another drone's body somehow, but...I don't know. Maybe it might be best to let him rest alongside his wife. He's earned that much.

An ex general lost his daughter to "Sanabi." We roughly get a vague implication that the house was bombed, and the one planting it was "Sanabi." In his anger the general went through a rampage destroying major criminal organizations related to sanabi. The military notices this and gets his attention by mentioning Sanabi. In order to find this Sanabi on this mission, he ordered Operation 0, which i assume to be a solo mission with an assured risk of death upon completion. He has nothing more to lose, and the only thing keeping him forward were the memories of his daughter. He HAS to avenge her. On the assigned mission he's tasked to find a kid who works as a hacker for the military. She sent a distress call from Mago city, a city owned by Mago corp. The military sent him there to pick her up and find Sanabi. She alongside her drone Mufin forced themselves to accompany you on yout mission. The general acts cold and purposefully tries to get her back to safety, because it reminds him of his now gone daughter. On their journey he discovered that there was no human being is in the city. Not a single one. Meanwhile robots are still roaming, and worker robots are being purposefully destroyed. Well, what's got Mari so invested in the general's bussiness? She eventually opened up. Harmonica in hand, she asks if the general could play it for her. He didn't take it seriously, but she was dead serious. The general lost everything to Sanabi. Mari lost everything to Mago corp, ever since she was young, leading her to this life. All she said was that she just wanted to know why her dad had to die. As we climb our way up to the top, where Sanabi is meant to be located at, things start to get a little off. Details doesn't add up, and there are several hints alluding to the truth. A mago factory machine identifies the general as worker... a worker robot. What's up with that? Then things gets worse when the military showed up. General's comrades barges in and yet they didn't acknowledge or even seemed to recognize him. After he accidentally deactivated a program called S.O.S, suddenly he could see corpses. Yes, human corpses. He rushed to Mari to check on her only for her to act nonchalant about the corpses- as if it was always there. There was a filter on the general that prevented him to see the corpses. After his old comrade attacked him, he was defeated and deactivated for a short while. During that moment, his programming gets messed up, and he understands the truth. He is a stored data of a real general, now long dead. Mago corp killed him and took his data to become weaponized in the so called worker robots. Now with his memory returned, he has to reach Mari.
