## अंतःकरण शुद्ध करने के ३ उपाय | ब्रह्मलीन स्वामी शरणानंदजी महाराज ### Chapter The article discusses three ways to purify the heart, as articulated by the revered Brahmline Swami Sharananandji Maharaj. It emphasizes the need for a seeker to closely examine their inner state through the attained wisdom to identify internal interests and hidden attachments. By recognizing these flaws within oneself, they can be naturally eradicated, leading to a purified mind. The seeker is encouraged to view their life situation as a stage managed by God and to perform necessary actions with enthusiasm and joy. Swami Sharananandji further asserts that the seeker should not compartmentalize their spiritual practice into designated times or specific actions; rather, every moment and action should be seen as a means to serve God. For someone who understands that everything belongs to God, their every endeavor should fundamentally align with divine service. The first method for mental purification is renouncing bad and unnecessary resolutions-those that either harm others or are beyond one's current capacity to execute. The abandonment of such negative thoughts naturally leads to the emergence of positive intentions, which then manifest according to a natural law. The second method involves engaging in necessary and beneficial resolutions without deriving personal joy from their fulfillment, but instead recognizing them as blessings from God, reinforcing faith and love towards Him. Such necessary resolutions are those that align with a seeker’s natural inclinations and are timely relevant. Examples include basic life needs and responsibilities, which are naturally tied to one’s abilities and circumstances. As the seeker progresses, they learn to devote each moment to God’s service, preparing to further explore and deepen their spiritual practice through such insights and methodologies. ### Chapter The article highlights the importance of positive intentions and how they should be aligned with the well-being of others, noting that true resolutions should carry the happiness of others within them. The third method for purifying the heart is particularly poignant; when seekers encounter challenges fulfilling their essential and auspicious resolutions, they should not allow feelings of disappointment or hopelessness to take root. Instead, they are encouraged to interpret these obstacles as manifestations of divine love, as God prioritizes His own will over theirs, thereby showing His deeper affection. By embracing this perspective, seekers can blend their intentions with the divine, finding joy in the possibility of receiving God’s affection rather than in the mere fulfillment of their desires. Attaining a purified heart leads to an undoubting awareness and liberation from all suffering, enhancing their strength and capability. However, seekers are advised not to become attached to the pleasure derived from their newfound capabilities or circumstances; instead, they should maintain an attitude of detachment and focus steadfastly on reinforcing their love and trust in God. The article underscores that the most suitable principles for seekers are those that do not evoke doubt or difficulty in understanding and following them. It emphasizes that one must function within their current circumstances and capabilities without despair and adhere to principles that resonate deeply with them. This is especially relevant for those who may lack physical, intellectual, or social advantages; even individuals who feel downtrodden can thrive under principles that are easily applicable. Further, the text stresses the importance of respecting others' principles while following one's, as this embodies the essence of true dharma. Understanding the source of actions is key to their purification; it is essential to recognize that actions stem from the feelings and intentions of the doer. Thus, the purity of thought and intention becomes fundamental to achieving a state of heart purification, allowing seekers to engage in their journey towards spiritual fulfillment with clarity and purpose. ### Chapter The article delves into the process by which a person's intentions and actions emerge from their inner state. Initially, an individual must cultivate a positive emotional environment within themselves, as this generates both their resolutions and subsequent actions. The text states that when one is inclined to do good, they first become good within, while the opposite holds true for negative actions. This emphasizes the point that in order to purify one's actions, it is essential to first cleanse one's ego and inner feelings. This understanding leads to the conclusion that without the purification of one's fundamental motivations, genuine and lasting purity in actions cannot be achieved. Therefore, a practitioner is encouraged to stabilize and refine their mindset, firmly resolving to identify as belonging to God. When this sense of identity is firmly established, the resolve to undertake actions that are pleasing to God will naturally follow. Furthermore, regardless of the societal role or situation a seeker finds themselves in, it is to be perceived as part of the divine play, or leela. Engaging in necessary actions with enthusiasm, caution, and joy is urged, while simultaneously remembering that these actions should not be misconstrued as their ultimate reality; rather, they are part of a grander performance. This approach ensures that the attachments typically associated with such roles do not manifest, allowing for a natural detachment and a subsequent emergence of pure love. The text emphasizes the need for devotees to remain mindful that they belong to the divine while enacting their roles, acknowledging that their actions aim to please God and are witnessed by Him. If someone attempts to purify their deeds without first addressing their inner state, their efforts will ultimately fall short, as true purity must stem from the purity of one’s essence and motivations. This deeper understanding of one's actions enhances the potential to experience a more profound connection with divine love and ultimately leads to the eradication of any lingering attachments, making room for an unadulterated flow of love and devotion. ### Chapter Purification of actions is intertwined with the understanding and inspection of one's inner state. It becomes essential for a practitioner to carefully examine their mental conditions through the lens of discernment, assessing their internal interests and the hidden inclinations, such as attachments. By recognizing these defects present in the unconscious layers of the mind, they can initiate a natural diminishing of these flaws, leading to a clearer consciousness. This principle establishes that merely repressing one's shortcomings due to external influences, such as teachings from scriptures or spiritual guides, is inadequate. Such repression may temporarily quell these flaws, but without addressing their root causes, they remain dormant, only to resurface more forcefully later. Thus, engaging in self-reflection allows a practitioner to confront their failings directly, which facilitates their complete dissolution rather than mere suppression. Furthermore, the process of identifying one's virtues requires a deeper integration of the heart and intellect. Practitioners may intellectually acknowledge their virtues and aspire to embody them, but unless there is a congruence between the heart's desires and the intellect's understanding, the attachments to negative traits will persist. This disconnect fosters an ongoing attraction to flaws while obstructing the genuine experience of virtues. Hence, to foster true transformation, it is crucial to bridge the gap between the mind and intellect, allowing the thoughts and emotions to unify. This integration results in the prevention of flaws taking root and diminishes any inflated sense of pride regarding virtues. Consequently, the mindset stabilizes, enabling clearer perception and a more profound engagement with one's inherent goodness as practitioners learn to let go of their negative tendencies while simultaneously nurturing and embodying positive qualities. Through this process, individuals can achieve a steady and serene state of mind conducive to genuine spiritual growth.
