This week is International Dark Sky Week, and we are taking this opportunity to learn about our night skies!
The International Dark-Skies Association certified Great Sand Dunes National Park and Preserve as a Dark Sky Park, so I wanted to learn more about The Great Sand Dunes at night, so I talked with my friend Ranger Ian and he gave me some very interesting facts and tips about the importance of keeping our night skies dark for animals and insects, and for stargazers!!
In celebration of International Dark Sky Week, we will have project packs here at Alamosa Public Library that you can stop by and pick up this week (April 5th-9th)!
