Sadly I’m still feeling dragged down by leftover winter SAD. I’ve got the windows open here in WA, and I’m trying my best to enjoy this glorious bright green flowery time. I love the idea of knitting the finishes for the Argentina dress, I sat up in my seat when you mentioned it lol. I think crochet garments get kind of a bad rap, but especially if you learn enough knitting to add finishes and embellishments, it can really elevate even a simple sweater.

You’re defiantly my sister when it comes to all the math with yarn calculations for yardage. Just went through this and figuring out how to extend my current shawl as I want to use up the full cake. It’s been in stash way to long to have 30g left over.

Love your peachy beachy sweater. And your beachy vibe hair. The idea of the Argentina dress is major. May I make a couple suggestions? How about stripes of white ribbing between the blue granny squares? This way it will attach the squares. As for the numbers and letters, you can always needle felt them separately and attach them to the dress.

I started out as a crocheter and then moved to knitting. I’ve focused almost exclusively on knitting for the past several years but I’ve been dusting off my crochet skills again and it’s really fun. I’m doing a crochet blanket club and a crochet shawl club. I’m a bit behind on those and want to get caught up. I have a ton of other indoor stuff I like to do too (sewing, painting, baking, music)

I ❤ that top you’re wearing 😍 and a little sad there isn’t a pattern 😅 I was thinking you would have better control of the size of your soccer dress if you made your blue granny stripes and then used hdc or dc bands of the white. You could also use felt for the numbers or crochet them and then sew them on. Your Stripe hype btw looks amazing 😊
