Sand Casting - Six Prong Ring - Video Two

In this video I have added electrical tape to the flask seam and hole and placed it on the vacuum table. I tested this process extensively and an actual vacuum cleaner like a shop vac works much better than a vacuum pump. The strength of the vacuum pump can actually pull the clay into the suction hole which can cause harm to the pump and cause a blowout. Ring is cast in sterling silver. As you can see there is a variety of ways to use the clay and the small rings positioning of air breather holes this is a perfect video for folks that are new to this Delft casting process I like it much better than investment casting it’s so much cleaner no water no bubbles Very good video and technique thank you

I have a shop vac but any vacuum cleaner with a 1 inch hose can be used.
