Sand Grouse

The Sand Grouse normally arrive early to collect their water in their under-belly feathers and then fly home to feed their partner who stays with the chick. Lanner Falcon always hang around these water holes to catch the birds, here they show their skittishness as a result of the lanner

Joseph King I heard from many falconers , that catching sandgrouse is very very rare even for the wild falcon also. For me i tried with my Saker falcon but 😭 i couldn’t catch it .

@@omaralfaris3339 I hadn't considered flying them out of the hood but a Tiercel Perigrine, Gyr/Peri hybrid, or a perlin trained on really good pigeons would stand a good chance, if you trained a Perigrine to wait on at a high pitch say 2000ft you would catch them, you could probably get a higher pitch in the environment your hunting them in..
