Sand in the lower reaches of the Wilson Inlet March 2024

Every year, the Ingress of sand into the Wilson Inlet gets a little worse; perhaps if we keep going the way we are, in 25 years time, we will not have a natural inlet. The problem is that the people who are making the decisions regarding the Inlet are not qualified to do so, and there is no continuity. To consider that you make a change and almost instantly one can see a difference is quite ludicrous. It’s taken 80 years of humans mucking to create what we now have, and one will not fix the problems overnight.
