Sandakphu is the highest point West Bengal located at Darjeeling district, West Bengal, India. The highest peak of Singalila Ridge in Darjeeling district, almost near the border of Nepal, it is located very close to Singalila National Park. Daily flights are available to Bagdogra (Siliguri), which is the nearest Airport. From Bagdogra, one can avail of a bus or cab to reach Sandakphu. By Train: Many trains operate on a daily basis to the nearest railhead at New Jalpaiguri (Siliguri). One can hire a cab from New Jalpaiguri to reach Sandakphu. From Darjeeling, the distance to Sandakphu is 58kms (26km up to Manebhanjan). But once you reach Sandakphu after a tedious trek, you will be rewarded with the real bounty of nature.

Don't mean to correct anyone but that mountain with that "gap" closest to us, is actually Makalu, the mountain left of it is the actual Mt. Everest!!!
