I tried using elmers glue about 20 years ago, kept having trouble with the stencil not sticking very well (as shown in your video). Since then, I have been using Anchor 211 stencil filler on the rocks and bricks. Cleans off with mineral spirits. Don't like taking chances with the stencil coming up. And, with the stencil I use, I always weed first, then apply to the stone. Good video though.

The glue mix is for easy removal of paint that bleeds through the stencil. It will wash off with water and give a perfect crisp line! Thanks for watching

If I needed to fix the paint on a neighborhood rock sign, what paint do you recommend? Also is there a sealer I could put on to protect the paint. We live in the midwest. The rock sign was installed in December and 6 months later the paint is already chipping off. Thanks
@slanginfba31173 жыл бұрын
I would use one of those little bottles of testors enamel paint and a brush for something like that... what kind of rock is it? I would avoid sealing it regardless of type. I'm In iowa, and have had no problems with paint. Maybe it was a poor Quality paint to begin with. Best of luck!
