Very nice Indeed, is there a reason you sandblasted instead of wiping with lemon juice then rinsing? I love the crystals!

The steinhart was the one who I wear most. In the past I had already removed from it the old patina with some vinegar and metal polish (capecod). This trick worked perfectly bringing it like new. but the patina forms pretty quickly and on the flat and shiny surface of this watch were always very noticeable any dark spots or inconsistency in the colour of the patina. So this time I would like to get a totally different look. The sandblast surface gives a complete different texture to the case, that is now less shiny and will form the patina in a more consistent way (drak spots and fingerprints will be less visible) Furthermore by sandblasting I was able to level and remove all the small scratches or dents.

Come trovi i movimenti della san martin ? Sono affidabili?

Le prime generazioni, che usavano Seagull (o ETA2824 importanti) andavano benissimo e per il prezzo la qualità era spettacolare (questo verde è da 3 anni va perfettamente a +4s/day). Ultimamente stanno venendo molto di più (grazie anche alla apertura di un riventore ufficiale internazionale WRwatches, prima vendevano solo su siti cinesi) e ovviamente anche prezzi e produzione sono stati adattati alle nuovo mercato. Adesso usano SII Nh35 o shancheng pt5000 (o sellita sw200). Su carta shancheng dovrebbe essere qualitivamente migliore del Seagull... Ma dagli ultimi acquisti che ho fatto non posso dire che sia meglio. Unica nota negativa è che da due anni a questa parte i prezzi dei San Martin sono aumentati più o meno del 50%, mentre la qualità secondo me è un po' diminuita (peggior packaging e negli ultimi orologi che ho preso la finitura aveva qualche imperfezione). In ogni caso restano assolutamente consigliati!
