As a bengali, i can say,In 50's , 60's and even in early 70's we were playing good football, we even won the 1951 and 62 asian games, where there were teams like South korea and japan and iran but sadly we're still struggling and they are world class now.Then downfall came,but we are in rise now❤

What he said about the culture of football that needs to exist is so true. You can find this culture mostly only in a few pockets like in Kerala, north east, Goa and in a city like Bangalore but unless we start spreading this culture to the rest of the country and make people understand the importance of football and free our colonial mentality of cricket and understand that they are sports played in the rest of the globe that are not played by just the 10 odd countries that were part of the commonwealth and some still are we might start accepting other sports as important too

Also, I would request you to do a podcast with Anwar Ali, partner of Sandesh Bhai in defence. He was at a point in his career were he was told by the doctors that he had a heart condition and that he would never be able to play football, and today he is a regular in our national team. One personality that I would suggest you to invite is Mr. Ranjit Bajaj. He is the one working at the grass roots. His Academy, Minerva Academy, has produced big stars that play in the national team today. He has set a target of 2034 World Cup and is currently training young kids. His U14 team went to Europe and won the Gothia Cup, the biggest youth cup in the world. He will tell you everything starting from the skill and discipline in football to politics of football, everything. And again, THANK YOU SOO MUCH for doing this❤

I have tears in my eyes listening to him.i am a footballer all my life represented few clubs in my district and state not mentioning which state I belong to.i am in my 30 now ,I wanted to represent my country but not an excuse, me along with my football mates,we didn't know where and how how we could get recognisation(that oportunity).also no one talks about the injuries and rehabilitation for a player.from my club with right opportunity and recognition 2 under 19 players both male and female players selected for India zonal clubs.i request for the Indian football federation look into the grass roots and represent keen members not politically motivated
