Wholeheartedly agree. I don't even let family drop in unannounced. People, especially men, do not understand how much work women do to protect themselves to ensure their personal safety and the safety of their families. Where we walk, where we park, info online. Then factor in the high investment into their businesses. OMG - these are not low cost businesses. Many of these machines if they had to be replaced cost more than my house, keep safe Sandi and team plus all our Canadian AG businesses

The problem is that Sandi and all the family - not even the property - is strange at all to those of us who follow her faithfully. I will Never understand Why, or How some people Feel so Entitled, that they’re Belligerent, & Offended when they receive an Icy greeting, when they run up on people unannounced-probably bc I haven’t, & Won’t Ever deal with such Rude, Ignorant, Self-absorbed people, who Obviously Don’t have Friends to keep them busy in their own territory. Strangers doing that to me, Especially living in an isolated area, such as a farm, would be greeted with a plethora of Sailor’s words, & if that didn’t work, the ole pew pew I had my hand on the entire time, would certainly convince them that they’re Not appreciated, even in the slightest of ways.🤬 My brother thought it was ridiculous that we had to call our Dad to, as He put it, “make an appointment to see him”-it always made sense to Me though, bc I don’t like people just assuming I have No life, but to sit around waiting for the Privilege to entertain people!!! Dad was a Golf Nut, who if he wasn’t playing, he was watching tournaments live, or on tv. He loved to sleep in, & during football season, it was fin for ourselves, unless the house was on fire, or some other emergency arose!!! In his Very short days of early retirement(😪), he was in the kitchen more, & had taken up an interest in plants, hand fed a squirrel Buddy, & enjoyed time with his wife of over 25 years, & eating out at his favorite places. When we Did come, he pulled out All the stops, like he hadn’t seen us for decades!!! Through my years, I couldn’t count how many times, friends & coworkers complained about certain people “just showing up”, & how they hated it!!! Some would get “Genius ideas going on How to get rid of them, saying they’re about to leave, or about to do something else. I just looked at them & asked, “IF you hate it that much, why do you keep Allowing it?”?!? Always met with a Shocked look, & a “Huh?”,🙄What is it with people & the Truth?!? I’ve never considered myself anything Special, or having anything more than One Life, & I’m Not gonna be miserable for someone else’s Feelings!!! Of course it can be done Nicely, but who’s Ever come across one of those folks taking a Nice hint, bc all’s I’ve ever known of such Hard Heads-they Only respond to Direct Rudeness, so they can make Their Social Intrusion Failures be Anyone’s Fault but their Own!!!

For example, I watch a couple - and have for years! - called Trent and Allie. They live in northern Utah. Gee - guess what? I live in northern Utah. When they drive around, I've seen places I know as I've lived in and around Salt Lake City for around 40 years. They take the same exits and often go to the same stores. They do try to mix things up a bit, but if you've lived here as long as I have, it's not that hard to put things together. So, I made sure I stopped paying attention as much and trying to put things together. It's not my business to figure out where they live, work, golf, go to the Dr's, etc... They deserve their privacy. I don't need to know where they live. It's more important to me that they feel safe. They've had a rough year with Allie's Mom passing from the sudden onset of ALS that took her in 6 months at the age of only 66 in December. I also watch Eamon and Bec, with Bec getting through her breast cancer and just giving birth to their beautiful but a bit early little girl. These people already share so much with us! I feel that giving them their privacy is their right. They're just people, and life hits them just as hard as it does us. Sorry for going on so long.

Given how high the crime rate is in Fort Wayne, Indiana - why am I not surprised? Nope not even if I lived in a Disney cartoon, crime rate in rural areas is many times higher than their city cousins. Crime rate is the rate of crime per thousand people as so in areas of low population like Indiana it can really spike before arrests are made. Sheep can handle the cold temps even to -30C if out of the wind with their wonderful coats. So you better believe how warm wool really is ! And some other natural fine fibers are even warmer - mohair & cashmere from goats is 4x warmer than wool, alpaca is 6x warmer, qiviut and angora is 8x warmer but angora also has thermal qualities (hollow fiber) so in addition to insulating fibers that trap air between the fibers, thermal means it adds warmth! But what is hard if animals are outdoors is keeping water from freezing for them ! And even indoors as we see it is a challenge.

I think it is appalling behaviour to turn up on the doorstep of anybody you don’t know expecting to be invited in, let alone someone who will be tied up working when you get there. In today’s society nobody would feel comfortable inviting strangers into their home. I feel so sorry for your friend I feel this was a violation of her rights. So lovely to see Jess after a spell getting her life back to normality. I hope your winter doesn’t get any worse, here in the UK we are experiencing a really hard winter which started late but nothing to the temperatures you have to cope with, -2 is considered extreme cold here.

Had to have a talk with grandkids. They love a science channel, & when visiting that area- wanted to say hello in person. Never occurred to me or parents, Until then to talk about “influencers” and while we (public)watch & get to ‘know & love’ them- we are strangers! It was a great teachable moment. We learn so much, laugh & cry, from & with you, thank you. Respectfully from afar.

Nice to see you two get out and give the snow mobiles a try. Jessica your looking so well, really kicking the short hair, it really shows off your beautiful eyes and smile. That was scary that someone watching a U-Tube channel would seek out and go to someone’s home, that’s their private lives, people need to have and respect boundaries. I wouldn’t seek out my grocery managers family home. Wth. Loved your video. ❤❤

Got to love our NW PA weather too. We generally get Sandi's weather within a couple of hours. I walk with a cane and if I fall it is a big job to get me back up, so I am at the point I am happy to have no snow. I live in a fruit farming town with the biggest Welch's factory, lots of winerys etc. so the farmers need the extra wet.

It's been the same story in the US Midwest. Rain and unseasonably warm up until January and then...whammo unbelievable cold. Up and down temperatures rain and snow mixed in some places and a foot of snow in others with flooding in yet others. Mother nature has been crazily bipolar all year long for 2023 and now continuing into 2024. Come on girl, get back on your meds and quit messing with us. Even the birds and animals are confused. More people sick with the flu and pneumonia than people who got sick during COVID because the weather is so up and down... You don't know from day to day how to dress. Only had to wear a mid weight jacket up until New years... Since then some days are a jacket and other days are 4or 5layers to keep warm.

i'm about an hr south west of algonquin park ontario and i got about 18 inches last week during that big storm. way more than i ever wanted. LOL i live in the woods and would be quite happy with 5 inches or less. been spoiled so far though before that as the winter had been mildest and lowest snow ever in 20 yrs. sure made the winter seem less long that's for sure. the snowmobiling neighbours have been having a hoot with this latest dump.

The love, care and compassion you show these amazing animals just warms the soul. You’re so amazing. through all the hard and tough things you had to deal with just remember life throws challenges to the strongest of people.

Awesome events, Sandi! Your peer group, tour, snowmobiling, friends, and you and Jess on a live podcast. No wonder you can't help but smile, even though you are tempting fate that it might be "frozen" 😂 in place! Pun intended. I'm so happy that you have a network with the best family, friends and businesses. It all combines for a great life. Thank you so much for always sharing your adventures with us! The tour of the farm clips you showed, were actually shocking to me. Although I never thought about it, the pumpkin seeds being processed were actually a bright golden yellow color. I actually wondered if they were from pumpkins, because they should have been orange. Tee hee! Little do I know! However, introducing us to this family's farm and products were extremely interesting. No wonder it takes 3 days to get ready before opening their store. Those flours probably have a great taste which only comes from grandma's cooking! Oh how I miss her cooking .... She used a neighboring farm's flour, still raised and ground at the family owned mill! There is no commercially made flour that even comes close to using it in baking recipes. The little billy lamb might have a blind eye. However, the only way to know for sure is to sneak your hand across that eye (from behind) to see if he reacts. It might be too much inflammation. Then again it might a new injury, because you would have seen that up close a couple of weeks ago while holding him. I hope he is not. Fighting for the nanny's nipple, being the runt, doesn't help his chances of allowing it to heal. Bless his heart. Glad school is going well with Jess. She grows more beautiful by the day. The cherry on top is that your daughter has a heart of gold to go along with it. Great parenting job! You and Mark raised two wonderful young adults. I'm applauding Jack, his great job and skills, along with a wonderful new home! Wonderful young man. Well, since I'm dealing with temps in the teens as well, I'm signing off in order to bear hug my heater! 🥶 It is rare to have these low temps and wind chills lower than that. But it is even more rare to have them days at a time below freezing and remaing there. I've kept you all in my prayers as I have watched the radars showing the artic blasts blowing over you all. My best advice is to get a small enough heater that you can get your arms around 😉 Warmth and blessings from Alabama ❤️

Do you have two or more sets of tubing for the nanny? That way you need only put the frozen tubing in the hot water and grab the ready to go tubing to get back to the wee lambies. Sort of like, a second and/or third set of sheets ….one to wash , one to ‘wear’… ❤️❤️❤️❤️🥰
