Just saw Mary Hopkin singing "Goodbye" on Ed Sullivan which led me to this. Both are great performances and have a unique feature in common that being the camera work in both. In the Mary Hopkin song there are multiple shots of her in one frame, with and without her guitar and each time she says Goodbye one guitar and disappears. Sandie Shaw seems to be revolving as she sings. Both of these effects enhance and underscore the lyrics and I feel they contribute to the artistry of the performances. Those were the days.
