Do you use a rubber-abrasive sandpaper cleaning stick for your sand paper pads? They’re pretty cheap and give me about 4-5x the lifespan of my pads at home.

Composite is great! ...Until you drop something on it. Wood is worth the extra work, IMO. Plus it's cheaper!

Stain has nothing to do with how long a deck will last.

Stain on its own sure, but any stain any normal person is gonna end up with will have both color and actual protection for the wood.

Next time you stain something like that, do each board instead of the patches. It will actually look good and cut out all those crappy overlaps of stain.

You said you're using transparent stain? It's clearly brown. You are not staining a complete board at a time. The breaks stand out like a sore thumb. Use a roller and get off your knees. This is amateur time it's sure not a tutorial. Who is this vid for? Or is it just acceptable to be a total narcissist now?
