Welcome back to Celebified, today on the channel we are going to reveal Everything We Know About Sanditon Season 3 + other related news. The Sanditon season 2 finale may have come too quickly for SandiFans, but we’ve got great news. Sanditon is coming back for season 3. The next season probably won’t premiere until sometime in 2023 but that will just give fans plenty of time to debate whether Charlotte (Rose Williams) will ever find true love-with Alexander Colbourne (Ben Lloyd-Hughes) or someone else. How many more seasons of Sanditon will there be? Here’s what we know so far about Sanditon season 3 and beyond.
Sanditon is MASTERPIECE’s bold and lavish adaptation of Jane Austen’s final work. Austen fans are likely quite familiar with Sense and Sensibility, Emma and Pride and Prejudice, but many may not know Sanditon, which takes place in a seaside town of the same name. Austen, who was chronically ill when she started her untitled novel in January 1817, wrote her final lines on March 18, 1817. She died exactly four months later. In an interview with Masterpiece, Rose William teased, “We see characters meeting with their own unique challenges and really having to dig into deep parts of themselves to find resolve. I hope they come together at the end and maybe even they get their happily ever after, like we always wanted them to-an Austen ending, like it’s tied in a bow.“ No official date has been released, but season 3 will likely premiere sometime in spring of 2023. I don't agree. They have nothing in common. He does not respect her, thinks that women should not have opinions/intellect and hates the Sanditon development. He has neglected his wife's illigitimate daughter for almost 9yrs. He has taken on his niece but, also, neglects her. He makes childish bets, with his staff, on how long the governesses will last, instead of supporting them. Was he waiting for a young, attractive one to come along, so that he could abuse his position? Certainly, his housekeeper doesn't protect Charlotte and facilitates him being unchaperoned with her, at night, in his house! Most inappropriate, as Charlotte was not there for the children and doesn't live there! It would have damaged her reputation! Charlotte is like a rabbit in car headlights as he grabs at her. She just seems to go along with it, unlike when Lennox does much the same. Just as she drifts into an engagement to Ralph Starling, when AC doesn't propose to her! Ralph can't be that bad, if her father likes him! AC lacks Sidney's passion, respect and deep love for Charlotte. Sidney always wanted Charlotte and she always wanted him. Sidney was fiercely protective of those he loved. The more they discovered each other's true self, the more they loved each other. They were perfect together! Even James Stringer would be a better partner for Charlotte, than stuffy, self-obssessed AC.

I would love to give your post a thousand likes. This series is beautiful but sad at the same time. It made me watched it many times just to understand and analysed all the plots, characters and you are right, Sidney is better, became an improved man because of Charlotte. Perhaps in S3 Alexander’s character will be improved. But for me Sidney is the hero in this story and Charlotte is the heroine. Both loved and sacrificed for family and Sanditon. Id like to think that Sidney is not dead. So sorry Theo but you are supposed to be the hero leading character of this story. I don’t mind a recast , just bring back our beloved character Sidney Parker and be reunited to our dear leading lady - Charlotte. Heywood. This is the best love story of the century for me, cannot be replicated…time can tell.

As the story began with Charlotte and the Parker family and was centred around her ability to engage people with even provide ideas for the growth of Sanditon - even being the reason for th ekings consort to visit therefore lifting the profile in a way Tom could only have hoped for it's likely that if season 3 completes Charlottes journey then that should be it. As for Georgiana, I would make the Coleburn housekeeper her mother therefore making the whole reason for her being in Sanditon a 'meant to be' and through meeting her mother she is able to put together the peices of her life - why the mother left perhaps the father sent her away to protect her given the times they loived in etc. Then hopefully there will be no more of her fallling for the wrong men only out for her money with her mother to protect her. Maybe she will end up with Arthur after all .

Same. Sidney is gone, Charlotte's story will be completed, and so will the main characters. I think Tom has had some success with the town and all that is left is to pay off Mrs. (Campion) Parker. Lady Denham is rich and has a successor in Lady Babbington. Lady Babbington now has her happy ending. And Giorgiana may get her happy ending too (or at least a satisfying enough conclusion). I do wish they would've given us at least 8 or 10 episodes to go out with a bang, but I'll definitely take 6.

Did Sydney die from yellow fever, or was he murdered? What happened to young Stringer, who seemed to love and admire Charlotte? He left for London, to get qualifications/make his fortune. They should bring him back to sweep Charlotte off her feet! Why did Charlotte fall for boring/insipid Colbourne? Series two was a combination of Jane Eyre, Pride and Predudice and Bridgerton! I would like to see something more original. The only continuity is Charlotte's inability to get her man! So, is she really the independent woman that she thinks she is! Colbourne is a damp squib after Sydney. It would have been better if his wife had died, he had used her money to save Sanditon and married Charlotte. He never even left her a letter when he died! Series two was disappointing. It sounds as though Charlotte is going to end up marrying well but not to anyone 'admirable or dashing'! 😏

We just finished Season 1 and Episodes up to 8. My husband and I enjoyed it all. It's my first time to hear about Jane Austin's unfinished novel. I am fond of her books and to me this story is unique. I think this is the best period drama so far at least for me. It's because of the story, the actors, beautiful settings, beautiful costumes...The actress Charlotte is very interesting and I love the story which was started from the beginning of the season with Sidney, is exciting that you can't help to want to follow the story arc. The ending in Season 1 was not great. I think it's not what would Jane Austin wanted to happen in her book... but I just wish to see a beautiful and happy ending for Charlotte and Sidney or at least for the heroine. To me Theo James is the best actor for this role. At this point I couldn't think of the best love for Charlotte. I think for Charlotte, that is the best ending of the story, seeing her what she becomes, her growth and hopefully found her true love which was reflected in Season1. That would be epic in my opinion. Hopefully in Season 3, we’ll see. It is a definitely a keeper for me. Thank you for all the actors, I appreciate your talents.

The ending of season 1 was heartbreaking for any JA fan. NEVER would she have had Sidney leave Charlotte for a rich widow. Money over love. NO. JA would not have written it that way. This could have been a franchise much like P and P bcoming Bridget Jones Diary with Colin Firth reprising his role as Darcy. Theo IMHO made a big mistake.

They are better suited for each other. I know many wanted Charlotte and Sidney to be together (myself included at that time), but after seeing season 2, I see so clearly that Charlotte and Alexander are meant for each other. Now Alexander needs to figure that out! I also think there is another reason Charlotte met him, but I will have to wait to see!

Sanditon has not followed Austen's blueprint for a love story, but has reverted to a shock treatement at the end of each of the first two seasons. Nothing solved, everything up in the air. Also the only "love chemistry" was between Charlotte and Sidney, and they killed him off. Great acting, great storylines but horrible endings, cliffhangers, not at all in Austen's style. Very disappointed.

Hope season 3 which is already completed will air sooner then the scheduled date April 2023.

Way too much time was spent on Lady Denham and all of the disfunction under her roof for my tastes. Mister Colbern spends too much time apologizing. I would have preferred more development between Charlotte and Colbern and less apologizing and being upset. I can’t believe season 3 is going to be the end of Charlotte and her story, her story has been the center of the production and she doesn’t have her love story developed yet. Let’s make this story more substantial!

I am disappointed! I simply cannot divorce myself from the idea of Charlotte and Sidney; they belong together! Their abrupt end can leave a person's expectations feeling empty and unfinished. Sorry, I am sappy romantic at heart. I really hope that we are in for a surprise. Even a little surprise will do!

If Sidney was to be replaced in Charlotte 's heart, it would take a far better man than AC! He doesn't share CH's beliefs. He hates the development of Sanditon. He has made his wife's illigitimate daughter and her cousin suffer for his/his wife's mistakes 10yrs earlier. He is immature and has never grown, emotionally. He is almost old enough to be her father! He DOES abuse his position over CH! He should never have taken her back to his house, unchaperoned, and kissed her, or grabbed her/kissed her in public view! She doesn't even reside in his home. How did she/did she go back to Trafalgar House, that night? How did she explain it? She's no better than Eliza. according to a latest article I read on line, C and AC do not marry……she apparently marries Ralph…..and Colbourne’s wife may still be alive and that he did not tell Charlotte the entire truth……but let’s wait and see. There are reasons Tom Parker hates Colbourne which apparently surface. Also Colbourne appears to have not cared about Charlotte only himself (leading her on) knowing he was not able to marry her due to class differences in those days. Lots of speculation. Let’s see…..intrigue …..all these videos only show the lovey dovey stuff.

Tom Parker hates Colbourne because he tried to block the development of Sanditon! How could Charlotte think him a compatible suitor/marriage material? He hates everything that she stands for/respects/wants for herself. The only useful thing he has a lot of, is money! It wouldn't surprise me about the wife, they've already copied half of Jane Eyre, for S2 - along with Cyrano de Bergerac! As an original 'Sanditon Sister', the group of fans who worked tirelessly to get Sanditon renewed, I ( we ) are SO disappointed at how they destroyed this masterpiece (pun intended). Jane Austen would never have ended the story with the death of the main character love interest and to have 2 seasons produced with each season being a different storyline with different cast? I hate to say it, but Sanditon died after the first season. Thank you Theo James! I wonder if he ever tried to think about coming back to really finish JA novel as it should be out of respect for the deceased author. So, sorry I'm not watching season 3. Never did watch season 2. I'm so very disappointed as I'm sure many others are as well.

My understanding is that season 2 wasn’t assured at the time due to ongoing financial negotiations. In light of that, Theo went on to secure other projects. By the time season 2 was given the go ahead, he was committed elsewhere.
