Happy Anniversary Sanditon! I know it was yesterday... but hey, here's my Sidney video!!
I can't believe I finally finished it! I worked so much on it and sometimes I didn't work on it at all for months! Crazy how editing can be! I don't think it's perfect but I like it. I tried to show through the song how he worries and takes care of everyone and everything. And how Charlotte and Tom have been there for him when he wasn't at his best.
I love Sidney so much, I miss him and wear my necklace everyday ♥
Oh, I need a rewatch asap!!!

No one could have played Sidney better than Theo; how I wish Sidney had not died and Theo had stayed on to fulfill Sidney and Charlotte's destiny. But I suppose that even had he not married Eliza, Sidney still would have traveled to Antigua on Georgiana's behalf and died anyway! UGH! :(

Alcuni attori formano, sulla scena, coppie capaci di trasmettere l'alchimia che possiedono interpretando il rispettivo ruolo e personaggio. Così accade tra Charlotte e Sidney con la loro storia d'amore. Nella nuova serie, comunque piacevole, manca però quel "qualcosa" che, non c'è con il nuovo amore di Charlotte. L'alchimia fra due persone è una magia e che sia amore reale o finzione cinematografica, fa la differenza. La scelta degli attori è determinante per poterla creare, trasmettere e coinvolgere lo Spettatore. Ovviamente è mia opinione. 😉

I think Rose Williams is adequate for the role - I don't think she made the most of some of her scenes, but she's good. She secured the role over a weekend, which makes me think someone else backed out at the last minute. Theo James is fabulous of course.

I don't think Sidney should have to sacrifice himself for the debt of Tom and I don't like women who want a man even if he is in love with another woman. How desperate can you get? If it is only for money then it's on a different plain. Not love.

To be fair, many females in that period would have married for security (the safety of having a husband) as they had no status without one and were considered burdens on their families as spinsters. To marry for love was only an option to a few and, of course, society men who lacked wealth sought to marry heiresses to also secure their futures.
