When you compare the 2x vs 6x, I find the 2x is a much sharper lens than the 6x, especially when you compare the beach model. Look at her face and compare.

I get they want to make new products but the 6x is silly. You have to use a tripod and as you saw, it’s still not that sharp. Just get a camera and telephoto if you want zoom

Keep in mind that a camera body and a telephoto lens will cost MUCH more than the 6x by its self 😊.

@@jujitsujew23 If it seems obvious to you then your claim that the product is silly makes no sense, since as you yourself find it obvious, the telephoto 6x lens will be much cheaper than a regular set up. That price difference already gives it the right to exist without being silly.

@@jcb449 ...you're so right, a cheaper product that has to be used on a tripod and still doesn't produce sharp photos, as shown in this video, isn't a silly product...that's like buying a laptop that can only connect to the internet through an ethernet cable because its cheaper. Just because something is cheaper does not mean it is automatically not a ridiculous product. Cheaper things are often not good

What about taking photos of the moon? Would 6x be more beneficial?

Yes, it is great for moon photography. Please note you must use a Tripod for such style of content.

I think the video is missing something very important. That is the f-number. Is it mentioned anywhere? You probably need a lot of light in order to use the 6x. For photographers,. a 1.4x teleconverter loses 1 stop of light, and a 2x teleconverter loses 2 stops. How many stops for the 2x and 6x? Thank you.

I have both 2x and 6x. Trying to sell the 2x because I am very impressed with 6x. With the native camera and 6x, I am good to go on a 13 pro max.

I’d be really curious how well it works in low light situations like astrophotography, lunar, etc. Those typically already use a tripod so no biggy there. But does it enable a clean lunar image? Also, often folks taking lunar pics don’t mind the compression effect to much.

My conclusion is that 6x not to work a bit more on quality. While 2X not that much.

This video is really helpful. I didn't know ... but should have ... that the 6X needs a tripod.
