You’re an amazing sewist! Finishing seams is most of the work of sewing and you’ve done a beautiful job of it. The ice dye job is incredible, it looks like rose petals. That dress is nicer than any of the store-bought holiday ones you tried on, imo. In addition to the creativity, skill and ability to tailor clothes as well, sewing teaches one to recognize quality work or lack thereof in mass produced garments.

Thank you, that is so kind of you to say! I absolutely love the freedom you get to create what you can think up in your head 🥰 And you are so right about learning to spot quality in clothes we buy as well, it’s really helpful knowledge😃

The trenchcoat is divine, it fits you so well. Although it was a nightmare for you to make, if I were making it, I would definitely make it in grey. I feel that the perfect trenchcoat is hard to come by, as I only have one that is a dark olive green from H&M. I love it so much. Trenchcoats can look really cheap because of the fabric and cut, even if they were expensive to buy. I think mine was 90€ but looks so much more expensive. The one you made though really is incredible and looks like it cost 400€. Congratulations for making such a nice piece.

Thank you so much for such a lovely comment and compliments! This is making me feel a bit more motivated to make another one 😄 I definitely agree great trench coats can be difficult to find! I may need another colour or two, it should be easier to make the second time around… thanks for the motivation 😁❤️

@SandraSkaar you're welcome. Yes, second time around should be a lot easier as you've learned a lot already 🙂

It has been a little more difficulty to get started with than sewing was for me, but it has been so rewarding, I would definitely recommend it 😃

Aw thank you, I am so happy to hear you liked it!! I loooove tailored styles as well, so I hope to do more of them this year 😃 They are time consuming but so rewarding! I could make a little short talking more about the details of the Chanel style jacket if that would be helpful! ❤️

Your pieces are gorgeous! You’re too hard on yourself regarding the brown tote bag. It looks gorgeous! I’m checking out the course because I like it so much.

Aw thank you, I appreciate that 🥰 I can absolutely recommend the course, it made the bag making process so much more doable and easy to understand! Not sponsored obviously, just a happy customer 😁

I have enjoyed this video. You’re so talented and patient to have made such beautiful pieces. The outerwear is wow! And I think the light pink dress and the lavender are my favorites. The leather bags are beautiful. You should use a wood handle awl or a wood handle punch needle threader making it much easier for your fingers…specific tools for thicker leather if you don’t already have them.
@SandraSkaar2 күн бұрын
Ah thanks so much, I really appreciate that! And patience was definitely key 😄 The wood needle threader sounds so good, thanks for the tip, I will definitely give that a try 😃
