Sandringham National Carriage Driving Trials 2023

Day 2 of The National Carriage Driving Trials from Sandringham. This was The Driving Trials Marathon where the competitors tackled a series of tight obstacles which really was a test of the skill of the horsemanship of the driver, backsteppers and ability of the horses. As usual there were a number of different competition classes taking part on a very hot humid day. At least at the end there was a "cool off " area where the horses could get some water. Hope the horses who retired were OK.
SADLY this is the last ever carriage trials to be held at the beautiful setting of Sandringham. Please don't ask me the reason why try Sandringham instead. We have enjoyed our visits and the people and it has always been a wonderful spectacle.
