I love how Caleb was a nervous wreck all throughout the fight, silently assuring himself that "everything's fine, it's all fine, it's ok, i can work with this... we're fine!" and then right at the end says "you shouldn't have killed my cat" like he barely registers what's happening/ is too nervous to be relieved.

And you can't blame Caleb too, given how Frumpkin is his buddy, his familiar, his support, given how broken he is deep down. Lorenzo killing him, even if he can call him back, was just a LOT to take in and he just couldn't deal. Liam really captured the fact Caleb couldn't really register what happened when he saved Keg from Lorenzo as well as avenging Frumpkin.

This could have been so much worse. On the Cone of Cold save, Keg rolled a 13 and Caduceus rolled a 14. The DC was 13. If they had gone down (ESPECIALLY if Caduceus had gone down) we'd have been in TPK territory.
