I remember the video from the Hebrides you referred to. I didn't realize that this Sandy was one in the same. I have never seen such rugged beauty in those islands. That was a video to remember Cammy, you did such a spectacular job, much as you have also done in this delightful interview.

Fascinating chat with Sandy such an interesting conversation and he’s spot on about the meat, we usually put a young ewe in the freezer and you cook a joint for 10 hours in the simmering oven and you won’t eat anything better, full of flavour and melts in your mouth.

Everywhere it seems people want to live elsewhere. They think the grass is better on the other side of the fence. Until you get to a place you think will be heaven only to find heaven was where you came from. Excellent video.

Side note: Hyponatremia (first called water intoxication) is when you lose too much sodium, often caused by drinking too much water over a period of time while going hard out (endurance events).

What he is saying about the dogs, it's so true the older crofters that don't get out as much working the dogs they loose what they were trained to do. Especially when they only get used to take the sheep in for sheering or being dipped at the fank in the middle of the year and then taking them in to lamb then putting them back out to the moor. When they only get used 6 or 7 times a year for what they were trained to do the older dogs won't listen to commands

New Zealand lamb has stupid road miles attached to it. If we are having our personal carbon footprint shamed at every turn surely it is plain hypocrisy to then transport food from so far away. ( don’t call me Shirley 😅)
