What’s with all the revisionist comments claiming that this remix is sampling EBTG? The people who worked on this remix (Soul Vision, which not coincidentally includes Sandy Rivera) are *credited* on the Tracey In My Room sleeve/packaging but this remix does *not* have any mention of EBTG on its sleeve, meaning that *this* is the original version and EBTG in fact “sampled” Come Into My Room (Take It Back Mix).

@@Magzhan713 True, but the problem here seems to be that because the Take It Back Remix (specifically, not the original mix) and Tracey In My Room were published in 2000 a lot of people assume that Soul Vision took EBTG’s work and not the other way around.

A track never to forget. This track was played in a clubs all over Germany, but I will never forget those times in the Klubs in Fulda and in FFM in and out... and I danced non-stop for hours. I remember going into a club about 1.30 and this track was being played. I lost my friends for 2 hrs. Well, I was in the dance floor.

It wasn’t uncommon for artists to sample from old 70s/80s records at this time, like with Stardust sampling a guitar from Chaka Khan’s song Fate. It’s not impossible that a guitar sample like this could be from sample library CDs like Zero-G’s Funk Guitar or Interface Guitar (was used for the slide guitar in Bomfunk MC’s’ song Freestyler), or maybe the Hans Zimmer Guitars CD.
