Hi Sandy, We have spent more than 900 CAD in just 20 days and cashback is showing CAD 1.28 as of now in Neo credit card. On the other hand We have CIBC dividend cashback credit card which gives around dollar 25 in just 1000-1200 spends. Statement will be generated next month for neo card, then will see what's the actual cashback. Please tell where's the problem is?

Left Canada 3 days ago. Feeling so good in India. I spent 1 year in Canada and wasted lakhs of rupees in this whole process of moving to Canada and coming back home. I had to resign from the job in Canada and now my whole life is reset. I am starting from ground zero now in India. I was brainwashed from videos of utube Abt how good Canada is. But once I reached there, it's the shittiest city(Toronto) among all 4 cities I've lived in my life

I generally try to avoid commenting on Social Media; @Sandy you are absolutely right but you might have missed one point: -Many young people after getting the Canadian passport move to Middle-east or USA for better salaries and/or lower taxes. As a result, it is still a type of reverse migration but it's kind of forward-immigration :)

It is logical choice to move to US if you can. I lived in both US and Canada. Tech market is very limited in Canada and mostly driven by US. Most Canadian prefer either to work for US employers or work remotely for US jobs. I met an uber driver recently who had mechnical engineering degree driving Uber and doing odd jobs in Canada, and found a relevant job in US on TN visa. If you are a highly skilled tech worker, what would you choose: US: Where you can earn 150 to 200K of base, an independent house costs 600 to 700K. Health insurance from company at nominal premium (I paid 20 USD per month from paycheck), and instant appointment or surgery. Or Canada: Where one earns 100 to 120K at most and a shitty townhouse costs 1.5 Million. Wait of months to see specialist, and you pay tax for medical (its not free). 2 ladies in my neighborhood are waiting from last 2 years to get knee replacement. If you are non skilled or non tech worker, Canada is obviously better.

WOW! What a mind boggling Podcast Sandy about the Pros and Cons of coming to and leaving Canada! Your podcast is so informative and simple style of explaining the details is really worth appreciating. I just wonder how did you manage to gain such a matured understanding of the actual reasons of incoming and outgoing people in Canada. It seems to me that you are a very down to earth person right from the beginning. Anyway thank you once gain for all the contribution which you are doing in keeping the prospective immigrants and students about the latest trends and developments at you end.Plese keep up the great work!

Weather is horrible & winter is like imprisoned in darkness . People do not know allot of things until they experience. Even SFO feels horrible in winter , Canada is a far cry. & Another reason people are moving back to India is people want too play big & start their entrepreneurship journeys.& and want to be among the smartest & tech savy people , Bangalore & Hyderabad tops the list.

You covered this topic so well!! As someone who lives in Canada (Ottawa) I know the pros and cons and I was surprised that a lot of people covering this topic didn’t give the full picture like you did and it creates a lot of fear for new arrivals. I have a cousin who is planning to move soon and even she is scared though she got nominated and will get PR immediately.

What about Healthcare ??? want to know from New Zealand... its about age, if you are over 40, don't come to any other country than India. You can avail medical treatment at any time you want in India. Here in all Videsh, you will cry with pain and if you have young child, just be aware you will suffer. Most of the time, hospitals are fully occupied mostly.

Absolutely true! Inflation is undeniably on the rise in Pakistan as well, but it's worth noting that the cost of living remains relatively low compared to many other places. Instead of dwelling solely on the challenges, it's crucial to adopt a proactive mindset. Pakistanis have a resilient spirit, always exploring innovative ways to earn and thrive despite economic challenges. Let's focus on constructive solutions and opportunities to navigate through these times!

What is the benefit of coming to Canada now? When Canada opened up in the seventies, there were many advantages to coming to Canada. Back then there was a lot of work in the lumber industry in western Canada and big factories in eastern Canada. In those days, if you were willing to do any work, you would get a job within 8-10 days. In 1990, a bachelor apartment went for $500 a month and a one-bedroom was $600 a month. Almost all would get their 3-4 bedroom house within 10 years. Groceries used to be so cheap that $200 a month could support the entire family. The telephone bill was $10 per month. A Vancouver-Toronto bus ticket was only $100. School education was good, children had to give exams. It used to be very easy to see a doctor. Buses were less crowded. Now the standard of education has gone down so much that children become like robots after finishing school. If you have to go to the hospital, you have to wait for 8-10 hours to see the doctor. New immigrants find basements for shelter. Getting your own house has become a dream now. Those who have bought houses will have to pay the mortgage for a long time. Many homeowners are paying interest only, there is no reduction in the principal. Bus service is so sparse that sometimes more than 100 passengers wait for a 38-seater bus. International students are in a very bad situation. Spend 25-30 lakhs, live 4-5 together in basements and do hard labor jobs (warehousing, retail cashier, security). Even if they do 2 years diploma they do not get any good job, only minimum wage jobs. Those with good jobs or jobs (income of eighty thousands or more) should come to Canada with a lot of thought, because when they come here, they are all considered workers and they have to find low-paying jobs and have to live in often in basements. Prof. Kuldip Pelia Surrey, Canada

1. Canada is a good choice for bachelors who don’t have families and kids and who wants to taste cold country life. 2. Canada offers poor lifestyle compare to Indian metro cities where maids, cooks, drivers, tuition teachers, cleaners, plumbers, electricians, etc. are easily available in any Indian cities. 3. Indian wife can make a career in India where jobs are available and whole system is designed for it including maids, cooks etc. Whereas in Canada wife has to work like full time maid. 4. Canada was dream country in previous century but not anymore when the actual dynamics is happening in India.

I am writing to seek clarification regarding the processing timeline for my recent biometric enrollment for a tourist visa application. On the right-hand side of the document received from IRCC, the Biometric Enrollment date is recorded as 8th September. However, on the left-hand side, under the application status, it is indicated that Biometric completion occurred on 20th October. This variance has led to some confusion about when the official processing time for my visa application commences. As of today, 30th October, it has been more than 50 days since my biometric enrollment on 8th September. I kindly request your guidance on how to interpret this situation and when I can anticipate further progress in the processing of my tourist visa application.
