As someone who also lives in Ottawa - a few tips for you : get proper snow gloves for shoveling. This is different from gloves you are wearing that are just normal gloves when walking outside. Snow gloves are thicker and it helps when shoveling so your hands don’t get so cold, I also recommend putting salt on the steps and a small walkway to get to the steps so it remains clear if more snow falls. Also you should shovel a few times throughout the day when it snows this much instead of doing it all at once, it takes less time and effort. My husband and I also go out and shovel as soon as the plow truck passes so it’s easy to remove the mountain it dumps at the base of the driveway, if you keep that too long it will freeze.

Lot of snow and harsh winter for most of the year, no jobs, high cost of living, and uncertain future. Who in right mind would move to that far off country? Good luck to those who want to embrace all those troubles.

It doesn’t snow this much everywhere in Canada, and in Ottawa where she lives these storms are maybe a few times a year only. Otherwise snow and winter in general is only 4 months out of the year. Not most of the year. There is proper summer, fall and spring seasons too.

Hey Just want to clarify so that new comers in Canada who haven't come to Canada to not take Fido sim back from your country if you have android phone. I had Redmi and network reception in my phone was worst. Not just in my phone but also in most of the users and most people had to change phone plan or buy new phone. The sim provider said almost 8 out of 10 were facing the same problem.
