It's insane to me that I still see some people debating who is harder. Malenia can be staggered with most hits and she also gives way more breathing room especially in her first phase. Unless you're lucky Radahn doesn't really let you do anything most of the time. Builds relying on buffs are royally fucked. Especially in the second phase.

@@valentinvas6454 Yeah but Malenia’s overall moveset is still much faster and way more unpredictable since she can chain so many of her combos into each other. She can also cancel her stagger animations so you really can’t rely on staggering her too much. Moreover, she has way more attacks that can straight up one shot you with 60 vigor such as Waterfowl Dance, Aeonian Bloom, and her grab attack. I think she is still on par with Radahn as the hardest boss in the game.

@@jameslough6329 Waterfowl can be cancelled with a freeze pot throw and Aeonia actually gives you like 6 to 8 seconds to freely attack her with ranged attacks so I still see her much more manageable. I took her down after about 45 tries at level 160 something. Meanwhile I could barely take down Radahn to one fifth of his health after more than 60 tries at level 205 with a level 20 blessing.

@@valentinvas6454 Yeah but the timing for canceling Waterfowl with a freeze pot is extremely unforgiving and the Aeonian Bloom doesn’t give you any openings if you are using a pure melee build (which I was). Not to mention, figuring out the timing for how to consistently dodge the Aeonian Bloom and Waterfowl was very difficult on my first playthrough which meant I got one shot numerous times until I figured it out. For me, both Malenia and Radahn took me around 120 attempts and multiple days to beat.

It's funny cause it's shown that Malenia set to the same scale as Consort Radahn, she wins quite handedly when you realize as well, she power stances and hp drains on hit, plus Radahn's weakness in the second phase of her being Scarlet Rot.

It is a good DLC but it's not THAT good. There are many flaws with it especially the final boss. The fact that this dethroned Blood & Wine when previous FromSoft DLCs easily CLEAR Shadow of the Erdtree proves that the hype around this game is (once again) completely artificial.

@@seljuzgaming i was way too underleveled for the fight and tested it with both mimic and thiollier or whatever his name is and my damage was just not there, you kinda have to have enough damage so that you can end the fight before you run out of flasks bcuz of the bs moves he makes

After 100+ tries at DLC level 15, it only took 3 tries at DLC level 20. It makes a massive difference (solo no summons)

I was able to complete the entire DLC blind at (RL175 & SB9) w/ my build which felt fair, blanced and most of all FUN. I get to Radahn spent nearly 5 hrs even maxed level my SB and made NO head way at all in 2nd Phase. Been gaming since I was a kid, I'm 49 now, I've beat every Souls game (except DS2) multiple times w/o cheese or summons and I've never ever been so enraged to the point of breaking or throwing a peripheral like a controller, mouse & keyboard until 2nd Phase Radahn. I HATE THE FACT THAT I HAVE TO COMPLETELY RESPEC MY BUILD FOR THE FINAL BOSS OR USE ASH OF CHEESE AND/OR SPIRIT CHEESE TO KILL HIM.

I’ve literally played all the hard secret levels in Super Mario World and both Mario Galaxy games. None of them took me anywhere near as many tries to beat as Margit in Elden Ring lol.
