I love how they act realistically like siblings. They argue make faces at each other, sang yan makes fun of her all the time, but they also really love each other. For example when he was being really protective of her when he found out her and jiaxu were dating, and when the bullies stole money from her, "even if you steal 2 yuan from my sister I will come to you and settle this score" and when he kept saying to jiaxu "this is my sister we're talking about" clearly he cares about her

I don't know how they prepared for these 2 roles, but they nailed it perfectly. Being 4 years apart they would have little to do with each other socially. My brother was 3 years older than me so when I went to high school, I was able to socialize with his friends who were seniors. So I became a bit popular by default of family ages. I was able to associate with every grade and make many acquaintances. Plus different ages shared same classes. Their education system keeps ages in similar classes their entire lives so there is little association with other grades. So to have that much rivalry was perfect. Sang Yan was the only child until he was 4. Then she came home. She was very sickly and had so much attention. She was constantly in the hospital so she was treated very differently. They treated her like a fragile porcelain doll, doting on her. They made him wait on her too. There in lies the animosity and resentment. They play off each other so well, escalating and hitting each other, then her crying to frame him.
