I am a drug addict on the streets of Los Angeles but gained some clarity through vedanta in the upanishads and have changed things around and I'm currently on a conquest of community Resurrection and benevolent love. I have so much appreciation for Krishna and everything else that the Vedas teach. The Vedas are so perfectly written that when introduced one cannot discard and it has been my saving Grace. The koi playful and sometimes unintuitive teachings that we learn in the simple stories of day-to-day life of ancient India help me to navigate my world so much that I can tell it is truly a Divine chunk of Truth. That is what your people have done for me now and something tells me that I'm not the only one thank you for helping me understand exactly the route of knowledge that has transpired over time it has been a huge question of mine for my whole life you have an amazing presentation filled with articulate facts and non-biased Observations that corroborated this weird state of gnosis that I received through the spiritual work that I learned how to do thanks to your people. Perhaps it is just like brahma's curse in a macro level but either way I'm glad that the veil has been broken in a scholastically undeniable fashion. Thank you for your efforts within your lifetime. @George Hock hey brother, im also from Cali, have u read anything of Swami Vivekananda? his lectures were copied verbatim (or exceedingly close) by an English disciple who was a professional stenographer, lending the works an aliveness & vitality, putting Swamiji's words on paper. in my late teens & 20s i poured over the complete works of Swami Vivekananda, whose english (& American) was beyond par, he was both unparalleled scholar & monk, one of a core of chief disciples of Sri Ramakrishna. i wasn't to know til much later in life that his insight, ability to discern truth from lies would serve me so well, especially on a path so similar to yours.🙏🏼🌱🐾👣🌿🕊️

As an Australian, I hope many more Indian scholars correct history. I'm 72 years old and I remember thinking the Australian history I was learning at school was rubbish and lies. My hobby is reading history and I have noticed western history has totally ignored eastern history yet there was knowledge exchange between the two. @John Cartwright, im from U.S., history in public school, even (especially) U.S. history, was/is abysmal, we have to study on our own, i cannot recommend highly enough the Complete Works of Swami Vivekananda (yrs ago it was 7 volumes) i don't know how many written/spoken languages he was proficient, (Sanskrit among them)but his command of english was not only impeccable, but as an unparalleled scholar & monk, he was able to concentrate his mind on any subject. i think volume 5 of his works was mostly devoted to world history, i read it a few times, loaned out the books (u know how that goes, bye bye!) & need to read them again.

Wow...as I sit here,52, deciding HOW I definitely WILL find a way to gain the truths and share wisdom lost from our American Indians. I now see exactly where Indian relics are covered and I am trying to figure out a way to actually buy the old house I currently rent because it can be turned into a museum for all to see. Indian history may be older than that of Norway. Given its large geographical area, it's more diverse and there's a lot more of it. Nobody- not even Indians- understand India completely because it cannot be summarized in just a few sentences. Naturally, it's more complex, much harder to get hard facts of ancient civilization and events. The best thing is, history was written or transmitted with astronomical frame of reference for time point of events, and not any artificial human made calendar, which would be replaced by latest victor in a battle!

As an "European" I congratulate our fellow Indians for their ancient history and the marvelous contributions it gave to the world. In Europe, nowadays, I can assure you that "The Indus Valley Civilisation" is considered the mother of Summer (and taught in school accordingly). Being Gobekle Tepe older, there is no archeological evidence of an earlier civilization prior to the Indus valley. Please remove (forgive) the mistakes of the past. The Aryan invasion theory according to the British was that ancient Aryans invaded India at about 1500BC, driven out the Dravidians from their land, have imported the Hindu civilization along with the Sanskrit language from the steppes of central Asia (Kuhn, 1845, Max Muller, 1878, Childe, 1926, Elst, 1999; Trautmann, 2005). The theory was the justification for the British occupation of India. Although there was no archeological evidence to support this theory, it has become the most important doctrine on ancient Indian history. However, some recent archeological discoveries in India, Russia, and Japan have pushed back the antiquity of the Aryans to at least 9000 BC and proved beyond doubt that the ancient Aryans were not nomadic tribes from central Asia but had very advanced urban civilizations. India was possibly the original home of the Aryans. From India, the Aryan language and other languages of Aryan affinity came into existence due to the contact between the migrating Aryans and non-Aryans out of India (Mazumdar, 1917). The Vedic literature was the expression of the highly developed thoughts of the Aryans. If the Aryans had come to India from outside it would be natural to find some traces of their thoughts and literary activities in some of the places through which they had traveled. However, no such record has been discovered at any place. To suggest that the Aryans had attained the highly developed literary and intellectual acumen after coming into India does not justify the absence of any record whatsoever in any of the places through which they had traveled into India. Genetic Evidence for Westward Indo-Aryan expansion Recent DNA evidence shows that Europe experienced a massive population influx from the east, beginning around 4,500 years from the present. Several haplogroups were involved in this expansion, including the Indian-origin R1a1a. This was almost a total replacement event, which indicates that Indo-Aryans, among others, expanded westward into Europe and to a large extent, replaced indigenous European males and their Y-chromosome strata (Sharma and his associates, 2009) This genetic evidence indicates that several Y-chromosomal (patrilineal) lineages, one of which was the Indian-origin R1a1a, gave rise to the modern European population. Out of these lineages, R1a1a is the most widespread and numerous. 1. The R1a haplogroup originated in India. 2. The Indo-Aryan people have lived in India for at least 15,450 years, which invalidates the theory that the Indo-Aryans invaded India 3,500 years ago. 3. The hundreds of millions of members (possibly over a billion) of the R1a family living across the world today - a very large fraction of humanity - are all descended from one single male ancestor who lived in India at least 15,450 years ago. This discovery demonstrates the close genetic (and hence linguistic and cultural) affinity of Indians with the Russian and Polish people, the Vikings and Normans, and with the ancient Scythians and Tocharians, among many others (Sharma et al, 2009). This is irrefutable scientific proof that not only did the Indo-Aryan people originate in India over 15,450 years ago, but also that they expanded out of India and settled in lands far to the west in Europe. Ararat, which is located in Turkey (eastern Anatolia) and Armenia. Afghanistan (Gandhara) was historically part of the Indian civilization until the Islamic invasions. The name “Persia” comes from the ancient Parshva people (an Aryan clan). The word “Parshva” is derived from the Sanskrit/Avestan (Old Persian) word “Parshu”, which means “battle-ax”. There are clear linguistic and cultural similarities between India and Persia. The traditional Armenian name for Mt. Ararat is Masis. It is named after the legendary Armenian king Amasya. This establishes literary evidence for the westward expansion of Indo-Aryans, via Afghanistan, to Persia, Armenia and Anatolia. The ancient kingdom of Mitranni, of the people who used to worship Mitra, the Vedic God, located in present-day Syria and Anatolia, had an Indo-Aryan, Sanskrit-speaking ruling class. Mitranni kings had Indo-Aryan names. The oldest recorded (Vedic) Sanskrit words are found in a horse training manual by a Mitranni horse master named Kikkuli. Although the text is written in the Hittite language, it appears that Kikkuli was not familiar enough with that language to use technical terms, which made it necessary for him to use the terminology of his own language (Vedic Sanskrit) instead. Inscribed clay tablets discovered in Boğazkale, Anatolia (Turkey), record a royal treaty and invoke the Vedic gods Indra, Mitra, Nasatya & Varuna by the Hittites, another Indo-European tribe, as witnesses. The Boğazkale clay tablets are dated to about 1380 BC. This is around the same time as Kikkuli’s horse training manual. The Mitranni and Hittites belonged to the Indian-origin haplogroup R1a1a. This is clear evidence of a large-scale westward expansion of Sanskrit-speaking Indo-Aryans, and their presence as the ruling aristocracy in lands thousands of kilometers west of India. These rivers flow across eastern & central Europe. These rivers, all named after the Rig Vedic goddess Danu, seem to trace the gradual westward migration through Europe of the Danava clan of Rig Vedic Indo-Aryans. According to Irish & Celtic mythology, the Irish & Celtic people are descended from a mother goddess - a river goddess - called Danu. The ancient (mythological) people of Ireland are called the Tuatha Dé Danann (Old Irish: “The peoples of the goddess Danu”). Is there genetic evidence to support this story? As it turns out, there is. The R1a1a haplogroup is rare in Ireland, at 2.5% of the population. This can be explained by the fact that Ireland has suffered many invasions since the Bronze Age, which would have led to the gradual replacement of the R1a1a haplogroup with those of the various invaders. The fact that R1a1a is still present in Ireland proves that people of Indo-Aryan origin settled there in the past (Sharma et al, 2009). Elsdon Best (1972) in his book wrote that the ancestors of a tribe Tuhoe in New Zealand came from India via Peru. DNA tests on some of them proved the origin of their ancestors. They said that they traveled from India after the Mahabharata war to New Zealand. Thus, the story of Manu dividing up the world among his sons maybe not a myth. (@ In a report published in Nature, a group of scientists and archeologists of the ASI (Archeological Survey of India) and IIT (Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur) proved that the cities of Indus valley were at least 9000 years old, not just 3500 years. The cause of the decline was not any Aryan invasion, but a continuous lack of rainfall since that 9000 years when most rivers dried up. That might have caused the outward migration of the Aryans from India (Sarkar, 2016). Being a Hazara from Afghanistan, now a Canadian citizen, I have known that most knowledge that made Western civilization, a civilization, came from India. I am very proud of India, Indian civilization, Indian culture, and people, both past and present. Even today, people of Indian ancestry are found at the top of societies they live in. You're right. The fact that India has a written history going back as far as at least 12,000 years should be common knowledge. There are so many blind spots in our understanding of our ancestry. Even in Japan for example, although the earliest corded ware pottery in Europe may have been made at around 2900 BCE, the "jomon" or "rope pattern" ware in Japan that were made using essentially the same technique go back as far as 12,000 BCE or even 14,500 BCE by some accounts.

What is most fascinating to me is that there is SO MUCH we don’t know. I think of archaeology and the ground beneath us as vast and unexplored as the ocean. The landscape of earth has changed so much over thousand and thousands of years. There are things still hidden deep under the earth and ocean and in the most remote areas. The more we discover we are seeing a picture of our human ancestors that shows we have been on this planet for much longer than we realized, and we are capable of much more than we ever thought. India is amazing because I believe culturally/spiritually there may exist some of the deepest and oldest connections to our very ancient past. I cannot wait to see the history that we discover in the years to come! We are constantly having to adjust our perceptions with each new finding which really teaches us an ultimate truth - we as a human race suffer from amnesia. we all share a common origin that is almost beyond our current comprehension so we MUST work together love one another and always keep and open mind in the search for truth.

It is often claimed by MANY westerners, especially Americans, that the ASANA based Yoga, called Posture based Yoga (or Modern Postural Yoga) in English, is not Indian, but Scandinavian and hence European, in origin. This is a very big lie becoz there are many texts such as the Hathabhyasapaddhati that clearly show several ASANAS being practiced by Indians way before any so called European influence. So I have 2 questions for u: 1) Do you teach your children that Yoga originated in India 2) If yes, do you also teach them that EVEN posture based yoga that is so popular all over the world, especially USA, is ALSO Indian in origin ? I am concerned becoz not teaching children about the correct history of Yoga simply takes credit away from the original creators.

I have NEVER heard of anyone saying that yoga asanas come from anywhere except India, and I can't imagine that any yoga teacher training program would teach this! So yes, I spend a lot of time and care to educate my (adult) students about the origins of yoga in India, how it developed and evolved over time, and I've also discussed some of the note-worthy 'gurus' of the 20th century in India. I hope this satisfies your questions. Well I was born in Puerto Rico. And throughout the years have dedicated my life to the study of religions. Once I met the Puranas and Vedas I found that the explanation and context not provided in other religions, is clearly defined in these texts. The language also appears to have led the creation of so many other languages and not the other way around as it is taught. I have also been very interested in religious architecture and temples. The religious structures in India show a complete form of what an Inca or even Mayan temple would have been. This video provides deep insight into a similar line of thought uncovered by Graham Hancock. It would be very interesting to see a conversation between the two and see how the findings from both can present a more complete picture which would also include findings from Gobekli Tepe and other western world civilizations. It is my personal opinion that India is the mother of all civilizations from so many aspects. I look forward to helping in any shape or form to support the update of the textbooks in World History for our children. Thank you for such refreshing work. Namaste!

Brillant and very high quality scholar research on Indian archaeology, etymology, scriptures astronomy based dating. Favorited, and i am going to watch it again to study it. I am not Indian but my worldwide interest in archaeology and ancient civilizations has lead me to India. I have studied some general material on India's extended history and I am now getting in the more archaeological side. This lecture is mind boggling and perfect timing. This may surprise but your conclusions do not surprise me, i have been anticipating them. After having studied Sumerian, Persian, Babylonian, Egyptian, Hittite, Mycean, Greek, Phoenician, Etruscan, Chinese, Khmer civilizations all of them flourished in a way that was not organic. There always seem to have been knowledge imported from outside. India was the only major civilization i had not looked at. I had a hunch now confirmed that India is the craddle of all ancient civilizations. As a side comment I wish you had talked about evidences that the Shan east asian (chinese ancestors ?) took all their knowledge from India as well. You dedicated a great amount of effort and persuasion on greeks, maures copying babylonians manuscript from, europeans but said nothing about Chinese. I am sorry if i missed it. I am certain, the ancient chinese copied and learned everything they knew from Hindu civilization to emerge out of primitive life and into a society. Chinese are great copiers, even today.

From Mount Nemrut Pantheon of Armenian Gods (sometimes called the Eighth Wonder of the Ancient World) erected by King Antiochus Theos (86-38 BCE) of Commagene.In the Armenian heathen Pantheon Mihr (Mithra or Mithras in Latin) was considered a supreme deity. Mihr was the personification of the Illuminating Rays of the Sun. The Grand Temple of Mihr/Mithra was located in the town of Bagaharich in the county of Derjan of the Upper Armenia province of Greater Armenia. The earliest mentioning of the worship of Mithra has been recorded in the Armenian Kingdom of Hurri-Mitanni. It was found in the cuneiform inscriptions of the Hittite capital Hattusa during the 1907 archaeological excavations. The Hittite cuneiform inscriptions mentions some of the notable Armenian Gods and Goddesses that made up the Armenian pantheon of Gods in the Mitanni Kingdom. The Hittite king Suppiluliuma (reigned between 1344 to 1322 BCE) ordered the recording of a peace treaty between himself and the Armenian king Šattivaz (reigned ca. 1350-1320 BCE), who represented the Hittite and Armenian kingdoms respectively. Suppiluliuma swears upon the great deities of Armenia and specifically calls upon Mithra to bless and protect the treaty of friendship and peace between the kingdoms of Hatti and Mitanni.As was noted, this treaty was made in the 14th century BCE, and this is the earliest recorded inscription that mentions Mithra as one of the supreme Gods of Armenia. This is roughly one thousand years before the God Mithra is mentioned in the Iranian inscriptions and the Indian Vedas. Some Indo-Iranian scholars have wrongly attributed Mithra as an Iranian or Indian deity, however as we have seen, the oldest inscription that sites Mithra as a God comes from the above noted 14th century BCE inscription that mentions Mithra as an native Armenian deity that occupied a very special place in the Armenian national Pantheon of Gods.however, what these scholars fail to realize is that in the Gathas, the earliest sacred Zoroastrian texts attributed to Zoroaster himself, Mithra is not mentioned. Furthermore, Mithra also does not appear by name in the Yasna Haptanghaiti, a seven-verse section of the Yasna liturgy that is linguistically as old as the Gathas. Many scholars have noted that the lack of any mention (i.e. Zoroaster’s silence) of Mithra in these texts implies that Zoroaster in fact had rejected Mithra. This is supported by the fact that Zoroaster did not mention Mithra was because in fact in the earliest Avestan writings both Mihr-Mithra and the Armenian Matron Goddess Anahit are condemned as “daevas” or “false gods” or “daemons” that were not to be worshiped....t was only in the fourth century BCE, when we for the first time find the mentioning of Mithras in the Iranian context as a “positive’ deity of the very radiance of the Sun in the inscriptions of the Achaemenid king Xerxes II Mnemon. The Religion of Mithras or Mithraism as it became known in the West would soon spread beyond borders of Armenia, not only towards the East, towards Iran and India, but also that of the West. Mithraic temples known as Mithraea sprang up all over the Roman Empire. They were mostly promoted by Armenian aristocrats who already by this time were prominent generals in the Roman Army. Armenian King Tiridates III is a good example, who prior to his coronation was a prominent general in the Roman Army, it was Emperor Diocletian a close friend and fellow Mithraic devotee of Tiridates who asked the Armenian king to take the challenge of personal combat from a Gothic chief, Trdat successfully stood in for the Emperor and won the tournament....By the second century AD Mithraism was virtually the state religion of the Roman Empire and virtually all of the Roman Emperors during this time and prior to adoption of Christianity in the Fourth century CE were high initiates of the Mithraic mysteries. Most of the Mithraic rites along with the rituals and rites were simply taken over by the newly forming Roman Catholic Church...The traditional crown of the Armenian kings 8-rays/pyramids on top of the crown standing for the Sun’s rays (symbolizing Mithra) along with the 8-pointed star flanked by two eagles facing it (also Mithraic symbolism). The Sun King symbolized the physical incarnation of the Sun God in the world and the Armenian tiara symbolized the union of spiritual and material worlds symbolized by the crown and the leather silk portion of the diadem respectively (united by the sacred thread/headband of glory). Historic reconstruction of the bust of the Armenian King of Kings Tigranes II the Great (reigned 95-55 BCE) by the gifted artist Robert Hazarapetyan...The Mithraic mysteries that began in Armenia in the Second millennium BCE, through the Roman Empire left a lasting legacy on Western society and civilization in general. Many of the customs and norms are in fact taken directly from the Mithraic mysteries (just one notable example would be the handshake, which was specifically used by the devotees of Mithras and today has become common place greeting gesture all over the world). Many of the holidays that we come to celebrate (including Christmas on December 25) also come directly from Mithraism which were celebrated by the Roman emperors and later the Roman Catholic Church. Same is true of the Christian mass that is held very Sunday. The tradition of building churches right into the caves (where the Mithraic mysteries took place) continued by the Armenian Apostolic Church well into the Middle Ages as the surviving world renowned Geghard church attests to this great legacy...The only surviving Armenian National Mithraic Temple of the Sun God Mithra from First Century CE erected by the orders of King Tiridates I Arsacid (reigned 52-75 CE). There were 8 sacred heathen centers of the Armenian Gods and Goddesses throughout Greater Armenia with countless beautiful temples in every one of these 8 centers...- Excerpts from Pre-Christian Gods of Armenia (Glendale, 2007) by Hovik Nersisian (1921-2009). Nersisian is an author of many books and articles. He was a renowned scholar who in 1991, for his merits in Iranian Studies, most notably the study of the oldest surviving copies of the Avesta, became a full-member of New York’s Academy of Sciences.

Wonderful presentation. I’ve been doing some research also and I’ve found that Ancient Africa and India were very influential to Greece and the West. The study of medicine, science, philosophy etc. One thing I’d like to correct, is that Africans were far from simply and had centuries of advancements, but climate change and natural disaster have damaged. The Sahara is a vast land of unfounded civilizations. Melanin dominant people have always known the true ✊🏿❤️

During the colonial era history was written and taught from the conquerors' point of view. Immedietly after the colonial era history was written and taught by natives who were the immediate beneficiaries of colonianism.Naturally it was also influenced by the colonial powers. Now is the time to leave behind colonial hangovers and learn our history from our own teachers and be proud of it.

I do coincide with the statement that our true history has been undervalued, discredited and damaged... and per my experience of how psychology works, it has happened due to inferiority complex in the minds of those who wish to predate Indian History, and also by those who support such approach.
