Actor Sanjeev Kumar changed his name twice for getting into Bollywood films. Sanjeev Kumar's original name was Harihar Jariwala but he felt that this name will not suit an actor's personality in Bollywood films. Hence Sanjeev Kumar took on a different name. Nice information, from Harihar to Sanjay to Gautam Rajvansh to finally our very own loveable Sanjeev Kumar... He was a very good actor and he could easily play different characters gracefully.. The sad part is that we lost him early. Indian cinema and I personally miss him a lot on screen. I would recommend everybody to watch Sanjeev Kumar's "Naya Din Nayi Raat" to view his acting skills where he has played 9 different roles with grace.

Tom Cruise changed his name from Thomas Cruise Mapother IV by making his middle name the last name and shortening the first name to its popular contraction. Carlos Irwin Estevez changed his name to Charlie Sheen for camouflaging his roots? He is probably the only star to revert back to his paternal roots by changing it back to Carlos Estevez. William Bradley Pitt shortened his name to Brad Pitt. This just came in. Facebook might be changing its name with the hope of rebranding its image and wiping the slate clean of past misdeeds. That brings us to Sanjeev Kumar. I feel sorry for him. He was a great actor. But he was a very unfortunate man and the film industry didn’t give him respect because he was a Gujarati who didn’t fit in with the Bombay/Bollywood crowd and lifestyle. Sanjeev Kumar never disappointed me with a bad performance. No matter how bad the film was, he managed to rise above it. There was no way he was going to make a name for himself (no pun intended) in Bollywood with a birth name of Harihar Jethalal Zariwala. He knew it, but instead of helping him change his name, they gave him an even more ridiculous name, Gautam Rajvansh.! Give me a frickin break! Fortunately, that name didn’t stick. Through a twist of fate he got “Sanjay Kumar?” But that was also snatched from him by Sanjay Khan but, SANJEEV KUMAR was available and he got it. It’s a good name. I liked Sanjeev Kumar. I wish he had abandoned his pursuits of Hema Malini and Anju Mahendru and settled down with Sulakshana Pandit. I want to give him a shoutout by listing his movies I liked KHILONA(1970) KOSHISH(1972) AANDHI(1975) SEETA AUR GEETA) (1972) SHOLAY(1975). There are other smaller ones whose names I cannot remember . There is one with Nanda, if someone can remember,plmk. RIP Sanjeev Bhai. Thank you Rahoul, for the opportunity.
