I saw the 3rd Sanji cooking filler in… SPOILER …Water 7, and I realised the cooking arcs have an arc. First, Sanji teaches a kid to cook. Then Sanji teaches a whole group of adult professionals how to cook. Then, Sanji himself gets taught by an old man about how to cook. The 3 stories almost seem like 1 mini story throughout the show. Anyway, I’m just at Thriller Bark, so I anticipate no more Sanji cooking filler after this. 😢

This is from episode 133 of ONE Piece, where a kid falls off a Marine ship by accident after losing the curry he made for the weekly ship captain's meeting + curry competition. Sanji helps by making slight suggestions to help him cook it right, but he mostly did it on his own. Also, this scene originally doesn't have music. Not in the English dub, nor in the original Japanese dub.

I like to think that the reason One Piece has gotten so much more serious is because after the loss at Sabaody and losing Ace at Marineford, he started taking being a pirate more seriously which of course leads to the rest of the strawhats to be more serious. Now that Luffy's awakened 5th Gear though, he can let loose a bit more and hopefully things could get a bit lighter before the finalem

This episode was the one that made me finally convince myself that cooking (especially baking) wasn't that bad. I also tried adding the apple's peel in some recipes, and it really made everything 10x better!

@@rubylum2905 yeah, since I saw Sanji adding that in one of the episodes, I really started appreciating those little "odd" ingredients in some recipes. It's not like adding pineapple to a traditional Italian pizza Margherita or ketchup in the pasta (that's just... wrong... and I'm Italian). To make a more easier example, take in mind how you make pastry cream (or how they call it in the UK custard, but to me they seem 2 different types of creams honestly). Some people add the lemon peel (not grated) to give it that recognisable taste and not taste and/or smell the eggs, but others, to have it still the same as usual but with something extra, they add the orange peel as well (obviously the more it stays and the more it absorbes the aroma, but you have to take it out or it ruins it, both lemon and orange or any other peel). Once it's done you can slightly taste the orange, but it keeps its original taste as well, balancing both. Edit: I'm here editing this comment since some people do not understand and just accuses me of being based. I tried pineapple pizza and pasta and ketchup but simply didn't like both of them. I personally think that it's not good and that is wrong to add pineapple on pizza or ketchup on pasta based on my own taste experience, not the Italian popular opinion. I don't condemn who eat them. As long as they like it and doesn't make them sick, for me is totally fine. Everyone can eat whatever they want.
