I dunno why but I think of jinbe like an uncle or something to Luffy,I dunno,or if possibly sort of like a father that's actually there😭 or maybe neither of those are it,regardless I love their dynamic

each of them had to go through their individual training because they needed it but its still sad cause when Luffy first lost them he had no idea where they were and if they were alive,so seeing Luffy's face when rayleigh reminded him of what happened that day (8:22) you can see hurt him a lot to think about or maybe less than that and it just kinda put him off ease. he lost his brother and barely was able to bring himself back to the life he once lived and was calling himself weak and stuff if Jinbe wasn't there I'm not sure how the story would've went or how he would've coped. he was always there when others needed him like when Nami st*bbed herself in arlongs park, when Robin didn't want to live anymore and all that stuff, but the time he needed them they weren't there, not saying they could've controlled it and went to him but he was almost completely alone, yes boa and Jinbe were there but sometimes you feel alone without the people you truly care about by your side, the presence of others may ground you for just a while but it doesn't always help. everyone knew how devasted Luffy must've been especially with a brotherhood that strong with Ace,before him,Luffy(I'm pretty sure) struggled with his fear of abandonment so Ace and Sabo were like people he respected and looked up to so losing one of the people he loved so much right before his eyes would not only break him physically but mentally especially so young and in the middle of a war, people don't always heal from the grief of a loved one very fast so even with Jinbes motivation, later in the series - like wano - you see he still hasn't healed as yet. and his crew all felt bad for him and knew he was possibly at his lowest yet,I cant remember well how the others reacted but you can also see it hurt them as well cause Ace meant so much to him, like with nami knowing his heart was slowly breaking. despite being separated they all remained friends even though they weren't physically there, they could've easily had the choice to each go their own separate ways after their training but they trusted that after the two years they'd be a crew again. and my favourite part of all was Luffy remembering he had his crew,it pushed him through and reminded him of one of the main reasons he constantly pushed through as well as other reasons, like how with the others they say Luffys determination or something along the lines of that is why they kept pushing with their very own dreams.

also you can see how they were determined to get back to Luffy and help him like how he helped them,he helped them at their lowest point and not only is it fair but their all really close friends so they would obviously feel the need to get back to him and help him, especially since seeing such a strong person become void of all the cheerfulness and light they once used to possess is also a very bad thing since you wont know what to expect, they've seen Luffy in many ways, crying, hungry, sleepy, etc. but never like this, they ofc believe in him but if I was there I'd take whatever raft or boat to my friend cause I don't know if they will start thinking life is worthless or whatever is commonly said, they are all good friends!
