Inside the SJPD Community Service Officer Program

The San Jose Police Department Community Service Officers are a new addition to the services offered by the Department. While they receive training similar to a SJPD Officer, they are not police officers. The CSO's respond to events where the crime has already occurred and take reports and provide other resources to the victims.
