Sanjay is one of my favourite actor, watching this movie shocked me that someone I love watching went through all that. Have to admit I cried and was speechless. Guys have a look at FMF's deleted video on Sanju, Tried and refused productions on lies in Bollywood's biopics and Sanjay Dutt's algebra conversations interview. In the interview the man has himself accepted that he had a love for guns & hunting which isn't shown in the movie. He under his will had gone into drugs during his high school days in Sonar but the movie blatantly puts the blame on a mysterious character Zubin Mistry. Also Dawood Abhraham, Chota Shakeel,etc of the underworld has been replaced by some Ganpati worshipping goons and the underworld chapter is closed within 5-10 minutes. I am not saying that we should throw away the movie because of the lies shown, it's a great cinematic piece to watch with all the great cinematic reasons but I am upset with the fact that such a good director has shown lies as truth and is justifying that he hasn't sugarcoated the protagonist. That's all

SANGEET JOSHI I have seen that video. I have also seen the interview Where he is talking about his love for hunting. If you watch the full interview he also goes on to say that he kept the gun for self defence also. The tried and refused productions doesn’t show that part of the interview, I wonder why? Yes in all of his interviews he has mentioned that he started drugs in college but is quite clear that he is talking about marijuana. The movie clearly shows that and also shows that he started taking Cocaine, heroine and all other drugs later on and how he had access to them. Hunting might not be accepted in India but it is taught as a sport in some countries - it doesn’t make you a bad person. Unless he kept the gun to outright be a gangster, it doesn’t make him a bad person. If they had to sugarcoat everything they would have never shown him taking drugs willingly and would have shown someone forcing it down his throat or wouldn’t have included that phase at all. It’s funny how you’re actively trying to make him look bad when he hasn’t done anything wrong to you or anybody else. The truth really isn’t accepted is it? He can stand there and say “I took drugs and I had a gun” but people will still think it’s sugarcoated. And how much detail do you want in a 2.5 hour movie?
